Rate your fear of Christmas food on a scale of 1 - 10
I am at a healthy 8.5 with a bit of rationalization keeping me from an 11. Keep thinking the holidays don't go on forever and the longer I hold off on baking the better it is for me...and my diary count!

Eating back calories - ups, downs or averages?

If, like today, I go for a longer faster run and burn 2000 calories - am I supposed to eat back something like 1800 calories, 1000 calories (eat half back) - or will the sky not fall in if I don't eat any of them back and…

Diet Rite or Tea with Splenda
First, I know that water is the healthiest. I drink plenty of water (about a gallon a day). But, sometimes at dinner I would like to have something with a little more taste because I am tired of water by that time. The Diet Rite sodas have no caffeine, sodium, or carbs. So, that is an option I have considered. But, my…

Sunshine and Vitamin D
I know they say you can get some vitamin D through sunlight. However, right now I don't think I have seen the sun for a few weeks. Since the sun is still technically out, though it's cloudy, do you still get the vitamin D from being outside? I know this may seem like a rediculous question, but its worth a shot...and REAL…

Eureka! Potassium in salt substitute
I have always struggled to reach the 3500 mg of daily potassium. Usually I can only get about half of that. Today I discovered that Morton's Salt Substite and Original No Salt are loaded with…
