Saxenda
Has anyone had any success with saxenda? I've been on it now since October 27th and I've gone from 275 to 257 today. I don't know if it's because it's given me new drive to lose weight again and it's all in my head or if this drug really helps. Either way it's helped me. Comments anyone?

Oh for the love of cardio
Have been training for 4 days a week since the beginning of December. I am absolutely loving my routine and my strength training programme. I have one day for a cardio session. I have put on 2 kgs since training, mainly muscle as my body has changed in a positive way however, I think I need to incorporate at least one more…

Low T, Empty Sella and IBS (but trying to lose weight)
So, I'm a 52 year old guy, 5' 9" and weigh in around 254. I never thought I'd be at this weight and I'm disgusted. Forgive me for sounding like an old man, but I feel terrible and I'm now having an issue with my right knee -- so I'm drawing a line. I have Empty Sella Syndrome, which means my pituitary gland is flattened,…

How much does a new knee weigh?
I just had knee replacement surgery and I’ve gained about 3-4 lbs. I know that part of it is fluid retention but I was wondering whether the old joints weigh more or less than my new joint

Doing everything right, but not seeing progress
Hi there, I have been in a moderate calorie deficit for a year. I strength train 5 days a week with proper rest, hit 8-10k steps a day, eat 80% + whole foods (gains, fruits, veg), and eat 140 g protein a day. I sleep 7-8 hours a night and manage my stress. I am stalled on the scale. And worse, my clothes fit the same and…

Intermittent fasting - some questions
I've been looking into intermittent fasting and there is a lot conflicting information out there. Maybe someone here can help me out. Is fasting just a way of achieving a calorie deficit or is it something else? Some say it is, and some say it is hormonal and teaches your body to use fat instead glucose for fuel after…

Weird dietary habits and health
I've had weird eating habits for most of my life, especially since leaving home in my late teens. I'm 40 now and have never had serious illness. I'm not overweight and hope I don't become so. I'd like to know people's thoughts on getting nutrients over a timeframe longer than a day or two. For instance do you think it's…

Activity Level Question
Hoping someone can help me with this. I currently have my activity level set to low, as my daily job has me sitting for most of the time. However, I go to the gym every morning at 5:30 for an hour and a half. 30min fast walking on the treadmill, and an hour workout. My goal is to lose fat, not necessarily weight. I am ok…

Anyone try protein meal replacement?
Thinking of trying protein works meal replacement shakes as I'm just failing with my evening meal and forgetting to eat at times also and ending up hungry, eating wrong things and binge eating as I'm just too busy with young kids. A big thing this week is I have started exercising having done none for a long long time and…

Funniest thing you have seen someone logged
I recently added a post that got a few people angry about overestimating calorie burns and underestimating general food intake. One person posted that someone logged smoking a cigarette, 20 calories burnt. I want to now what other things have you seen people log that have made you laugh.

Intermittent Fasting and Working out
Hello all, I've recently restarted IF 16/8 and it has helped me get past a plateau with my weight loss/fitness. My fasting begins at 9PM and ends at 1PM to correspond with my work hours-ish. Problem is, I was going to the gym in the morning around 9AM, and I find that I am light-headed doing the workouts I was doing…

Obstructive sleep apnea
I have just today been diagnosed with "severe" obstructive sleep apnea. The doctor said that during my sleep study I stopped breathing 66 times, for up to 22 to 28 seconds. I thought that meant 66 times during the night, but he said it was severe and my research indicates that means more than 30 times per HOUR, so I guess…
