I just went bra shopping and I went from a size 44 band to a 38! I was completely floored! I have to go to a specialty shop beacause, umm, I have big boobies. :) When the lady measured me she didn't tell me my size and then brought in a few bras and I was totally shocked to see the size. My boobs are the same size…

NSV - Normal BMI
I'm chuffed. I reached a normal BMI a couple of weeks ago but didn't see it as an achievement really as I am still carrying weight which needs to go. But the more I think about it the more of an achievement it is. I used to be 15 st 6 lbs at my heaviest (216 lbs) with a BMI well over 30. (About 5 years ago) I'm currently…

Did not do well yesterday, but I often don't at weekends but with about 100lbs to loose to get somewhere near goal weight I am not stressing about it, If anything since I started this journey I probabbly eat more, but it's working so I am not going to complain as long as it is, when I get closer to my goal I know I will…

35 pounds down at least 70 to go!
Figured it out - I have before and after photos -not proporrionately the same, but that's what I get for having my 4 year old take the pictures each time  35 pounds down in just under 3 months. Started tracking just after 1st of year, seriously started watching what I was eating about the 15th of January.

So inspired!
I am reading everyones success stories, and I am getting so inspired by it all. I have never actually seen someone go through a large weight loss, and so seeing that it is possible is so inspiring! I just have a question for all of you that have lost a large amount of weight. Did any of you have success by working out at…

After 185 days and 71.2 pounds, I'm "overweight"! (pic)
I am OFFICIALLY no longer "obese" by any method of calculation (my BMI is the only thing that has labeled me as that for at least 15-20 pounds now)! In the last 185 days (that's how long I've been on MFP), I've lost 71.2 pounds and gone from a BMI of 40.17 (morbidly obese) to, as of this morning, 29.96 (overweight).…

nothing major but a nice little accomplishment!
When getting ready for work this afternoon I noticed I didn't have my usual work pants. They were shoved to the bottom of the clothes hamper!!! I was quickly running out of time and needed to get moving. My only other option was the small stack of pants I haven't been able to wear in almost 3 years. I didn't want to try…

Size 14!
For the past few years, maybe more, I have been hovering between a size 16 or 18, depending on the brand and style. My legs are small, so whatever fits me in the waist is normally baggy everywhere else. Even though I am about 5'6 I buy my shorts in the petite section because they fit better(not daisy dukes). Can't do that…

An NSV of sorts
So today I took a group of 48 people out on a hike through one of Northern Irelands most famous mountain ranges and decided to attempt the largest mountain in Northern Ireland Slieve Donard. Not only did I get to the very top but I was one of only 12 people out of the group to get there and I did it before other people who…

NSV
Today is a good day. This morning i tried on a skirt that i had bought in December for my university interviews. When i bought it i couldnt do up the zip and because i didnt have the time to take it back and exchange, i kept it. I wanted this to be a goal. It was only two inches or so too small about the waistband, and i…

I am changing my life!
I am writing this to remind me why I am changing my life. It has been a little over 2 years since I decided it was time to take control again. I was working in outside food sale and had been for about 7 years. During that time I gained almost 70 pounds. I was eating with reckless abandon. There were days, the best I can…

Resisted the temptation!!
This week I resisted the temptation of chocolate cake and what my co-workers described as the “best cheesecake they have ever tasted!!” I’m constantly faced with this kind of temptation at work because everyone loves to cook and share recipes, so it is sometimes difficult to stay focused on my diet when temptation is just…

My first shared progress pics...halfway to goal!
I started MFP in January weighing 145 (I am a shorty-5'3"). Gradually over the past ten years of marital bliss, I have gained almost twenty pounds without even noticing it. In fact, when I finally jumped on the scale for the first time in years (in December), I was shocked that I weighed 145. I cried, then I decided to…

NSV - Down a clothes size
Woo hoo - today I am comfortably back in my size 10s (UK) skinny jeans. No breathing in to do them up. :drinker: Also have had to tighten in the belt as well - so all good. I would have posted before and during pics, but 12lb doesn't look all that different in my pics so will be posting before/during/after in 10lbs …

My NSV from today
This may seem small to some other people but I am SO happy I could cry! I have about 35-40 lbs more to go but I am excited at this success. This is a pic of me from today in a pair 9 jeans from Maurices store. This is the 1st time I have been able to wear a 9/10 jean in about 7 years!!

I am not typically a big fan of sharing personal information
... I HAVE to tell somebody! Down two pants sizes, all my clothes fit great or are too big, I have to tighten my belt three additional notches, my SHOES are more comfortable, I have more muscle definition in my legs, back and forearms than I have in years, and I officially have ONE butt rather than two (I am not explaining…
