What makes muscles sore?
This is a simple question, but I'm finding it has not so simple of an answer. Growing up i was always told that muscle soreness after exercise comes from a build up of lactic acid. Working out frequently tends to make the body more proficient at removing the lactic acid which is why if you perform the same exercise…

Any beginners interested in a daily pushup & crunch group?
I have decided as of the end of last week that I'm going to alternate every day doing pushups and crunches. So one day I'll do as many pushups as I can, the next day I'll do as many crunches as I can. I thought it would be fun to do this with others. Question for Runners
I have started running recently and have been reading a running magazine. They keep talking about pace. For example, run 2 minutes faster or slower than your race pace, etc. How do you guys do this? How do you know if you are running at a specific pace? Obviously you have to time something...but how do you go about doing…

Sweating to the Oldies!!!
I just bought on DVD the Richard Simmons Sweating to the Oldies. It's the same as the VHS back in the late 80's early 90's that he had out. Can I swim with my HRM?
I have Reebok Precision XT. The instructions say it's 'water resistant' to 30m. I'm just going to swim in a pool and in open water on the surface, not go down to 30 m. But "water resistant" makes me nervous. Anyone swim with the HRM and can tell me if it survived?
