Calories in Costco rotisserie chicken?
Okay, so I LOVE Costco's rotisserie chicken but am not sure about the calories... According to Daily Meal "for each 3.5-ounce serving of the Costco chicken, there are 138 calories, 347 milligrams of sodium, 6 grams of fat and 17 grams of protein." This breaks down to approx. 40 calories per oz. This would mean that for a 3…

How Do I get my saved meals into my daily food diary?
Ok. So I have saved several meals. But I can't find a place anywhere that lets me at them to my daily food diary. I click Food. Then if I click my meals I can bring up the meals but there is no add button anywhere. If I click add food there is nowhere to select the meals I have saved. What am I missing?

What's your weakness?
What's that one specific food that you would never give up, no matter how beneficial it might be? Or what do you turn to when you need a treat, something beyond the usual fruit and veg? Mine is cheese. My fridge is 90% cheese, and I think my body might be too. I will burn as many calories as it takes to eat cheese forever.…

Can I lose 12 pounds in 54 days?
Let's say I need to lose 12 pounds in the next 54 days (roughly 7.5 weeks). I'd need to consistently lose a little more than 1.5 pounds per week. If one goes by the concept of 3,500 calories = 1 pound, then I need to create a calorie deficit of about 780 calories per day. Can I manage that just by diet & exercise? Here's…

Good choice for butter?
I like butter on certain foods but concerned about the saturated fat. I've looked at margarines, but have heard they are highly processed and have questionable ingredients. Most of the ones I've read the labels for have some type of oil. What does everyone use to butter their baked potatoes, pancakes, etc.?

How important is WHAT you eat?
I've recently started an online physio course aimed at women who have had children in order to help with pelvic floor and diastasis recti. Part of the programme includes advice on what you "should" and "shouldn't" eat. As the main focus of the programme is to improve the visual appearance of women's stomachs, I am…

Phytates in plants?
Assuming our diet is rich in whole grains and other plant-based foods shoud we worry at all about anti-nutrients? I hear phytates have health benefits but they also prevent the absorbtion of certain minerals like iron, calcium, zinc..etc Should we try to limit those at all?

Food Quirks?
I imagine that most everyone here is perhaps more than a wee bit food obsessed. On that note: Do you have any food-related habits unique to you? Completely unwrapping and dividing a candy/nutrition bar before eating? Eating plated food in a certain order? A must-have fave mug without which tea or coffee just doesn't taste…

Frappe Making Question for a Barista
I’m trying to make a frappe type drink using a cup of French press coffee, a cup of almond milk, ice, and sugar free syrup, all in a vitamix. For some reason, it keeps separating. I’ll have liquid, and a hard glob of plain, finely crushed ice. I’ve made smoothies in it for ages and never had this problem. Suggestions…

Your favorite low-carb tortilla, pita or flat bread?
Hello, Everyone! I'm new to MFP and wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on what they would recommend for a really good low-carb tortilla, or even a favorite pita or flat bread. I want to start using them as they seem like they would be more filling (the fiber) and healthier than mainstream bread. I'm hoping to make…

Give up junk food or make room for it in your diet?
I need to eat 1500-1800 calories a day to lose weight when I'm working out. I eat lunch and dinner and leave room for a drink and/or a little snack to keep me sane. Sometimes (every other week?) I have pizza. I try to eat light the rest of the day to balance. Sometimes I have a bagel and try to go easy to make up for the…

Calorie Count

hummus and sauerkraut wrap/soft taco
Sorry, no pix, as my first response to food is to eat it, not photograph it. :) Anyway, that pretty much was all there was to it. Warm a couple of small corn tortillas, spread spicy hummus on them, and top with a little well-drained sauerkraut. I don't know if I've invented something new, but it was really tasty (IMO,…

Anyone here using a meal planning site like PlateJoy or eMeals?
I'm trying PlateJoy, my sister is trying eMeals. So far I like it. I'm one of those people who is usually a pretty lazy cook. My only seasoning is salt or maybe a sprinkle of "Italian Seasoning". When I'm trying to eat healthy, I'm usually eating plain chicken with plain vegetables. Anyhow, I'm mostly using what they call…

My snacks is over 800 calories (sweet tooth)
I've just entered the snacks I'll be having today. I haven't eaten any of it yet but it comes to 881 calories out of my allowance. Isn't that too much? I don't know how to give up snacking tbh. I'm 11 pounds away from my target weight but I would have hit it ages ago if it weren't for the snacking.

Protein Powders
I have thought until recently of protein powders as synthetics. A little hypochrite, since I do not eat that clean! However, getting to understand how much protein we actually need, I have tried to find evidence that they might not be healthy and in my brief search I couldn't find anything "convincing". Any opponents of…
