What a difference!
Before I started "dieting" and working out a couple of months ago I noticed that a few nights a week my stomach would always feel slightly nausous. Not the stuffed full nausous feeling or a true sick feeling just a slight nausous in the bottom of my stomach. Well fast forward and yesterday i ate kinda bad: tomato basil…

Help! Good Fat vs Bad Fat??
(I know which is which.) My question is: If I go over in Fat calories but they are all vegetable fat calories, is this a really bad thing? Like tonight I did over an hour of cardio, and tomorrow (15 hours later) I do weight / strength training. I CRAVE peanut butter, and edamame. I can't find any written info anywhere…

Just 3 questions!
I think these days "they" are brainwashing us to think that all carbs are bad. AND now that I've started keeping track of what I eat on MFP I am realizing that almost everything has carbs - even the broccoli I had with lunch! Can anyone give me examples of good carbs so I can work them into my diet? Also, I am really bad…

Trans fat in my cookies!
I have been careful to avoid any trans fat, so I was surprised to see it show up on Reports. Turned out to be the two Chips Ahoy chunk chocalate chip cookies I had one day. In a smoothie with plain kefir. Delicious treat. My package says 0g of Trans Fat, but the food database has the old formula with trans fat. I added a…

Kitchen Scale
If anyone does not have a kitchen scale, I would recommend it. I found it to be a real eye-opener compared to my best guesses and estimates. 100 grams is 100 grams is 100 grams.

Yummy low cal dip (I think?)
So last night I made this dip using Fat Free Cottage Cheese and HVR dry mix. I think? this is low cal, but I thought I'd check with you all first. The cottage cheese is 80 calories, 0 fat, 3 carbs, 14 g protein for a 1/2 cup serving. (I mixed the entire container, though) I used a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix and…

Hmmm... help!
I'm going to toss this one out there - any & all feedback will be appreciated! This is my 4th day on MFP and I'm loving it! What an amazing tool! My questions is, I seem to be having a problem keeping my protein intake below my daily recommended amount on non work out days. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it…

Aggressive vs. Recommended
OK, the "aggressive" and "recommended" calorie intake levels are confusing me. My BMR, according to the BMR calculator, is 1868 cal / day. "Aggressive" says it's 2 pounds per week, which is a deficit of 1000 calories per day, which would be 868 calories a day, except it hits a floor and comes up at 1300 calories (for me).…

what's the difference?
How come 4 oz of raw ground turkey which is 170 calories becomes 193 calories once you cook it? I didn't use any fat when I cooked it? I know I'm being a little picky here but which one is right? Anyone have any answers? See you after the weekend, going out of town and will miss my computer. :(

How do you measure food amount?
Hi, there's a question that's nagging in my mind since joining myfitness pal and that is, how do I measure the amount of food I eat? For food that comes in a package, I read the package, but what about those I buy from eateries? How do I know how much it weighs (e.g. 100g, 3 oz, etc)? Sorry if this question sounds stupid.…

? for Skinnier_Me
Hi! I know you probably have seen this asked before so I am picking on you- I've been on this site about 4 weeks and I excercise between 400-800 calories that get added to my food "bank". When I eat to this new total (1200+400), I don't seem to lose any weight but if I eat to the 1200 original total, I do seem to lose…

Low Fat Q

Has anyone tried this supplement? If so, does the produce list the herbs it contains? From the advertisement, it appears to be red pepper, ginger, gingseng, and 4 others I can't quite figure out. If anyone has tried this, has it worked? Thanks for any info.

How do you feel about Yogun Fruz?
I have a confession. I am OBSESSED with frozen yogurt. I love 'em all; strawberry, mint chocolate chip, mixed berries, etc. My problem with this is that I don't know how many times a week I should be consuming it without gaining weight. What about the sugar-free options? Are they better than the ones with the sugar added…

Learning Patience?
So i have just started on MFP and have been reading daily success stories and dreaming when that might be me. I guess i have two questions 1. How do i really believe its possible?
