Stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks despite calorie counting everything
My base calorie rate to maintain my weight is ~2500 cal/day. I set MFP to lose 2 lbs/week, so it put me on 1900/day. I don't exercise and picked the lowest exercise setting in MFP, so there's no extra allowance of calories. I've been following this religiously for 3 weeks, I'm actually averaging 1800/week. After a…

Premier Protein Shakes? Alternatives?
Hi all! I'm wondering how people feel about premier protein shakes. I'm not a big breakfast person at all and have very little time in the mornings. Lately I've been drinking the chocolate shake, but am wondering how healthy they really are. What are your thoughts? Any suggestions for a better alternative? Doesn't have to…

RedCon1 MRE and MRE Lite
Just curious if anyone else has reviews or opinions on RedCon1 MRE and MRE Lite. Talked with a collegiate athlete who uses a mixture of the two together to get the right amount of carbs and protein he needs for inbetween meals. Uses 2 scoops of MRE and 1 scoop of MRE Lite. Even said he mixes with flavors to get…

FlexPro Meals
I just wanted to share that I started eating these this week, and they have been fantastic! Before this, I was using Factor75 meals for keto, but I have long since dropped keto. It works, but it's not sustainable for me. It came into my Facebook feed and I decided to try it. Very flexible meal plans and reasonably priced!

Food choices - what works for you?
I am looking at the meal plans here on this site. There is high protein and also low carb. I’ve never tailored my eating other then to cut way down on sweets and eating more fruits/veggies. It’s healthy but my progress is slow. Has anyone tired any of the plans on this site (or others)? How did it work for you?

Suggested calories accurate?
I just signed up to MFP (I used to use the fitbit app), and I was noticing that it was saying my suggested amount of protein for the day was 90 something. That number should be closer to 200 going by the 1g per lb on non training days, and 1.5 g per lb on training days. I assume I’m doing something wrong in the setup.

Is this a good “healthy” yogurt recipe?
I want to make my own yogurt so I can put the ingredients I want in it. My friend gave me this recipe https://www.wheatbellyblog.com/2019/07/how-to-make-l-reuteri-yogurt-step-by-step/ The dr makes a lot of claims. I am not too concerned with that, just wondering if this seems like a good idea to even try. It gives it more…

Need help estimating this meal, it's so weird—pork wrap with kale and a nori and rice paper wrap
Ate this wrap. It's pork, a ton of kate, cucumber, a ton of shredded pork, but the part that's throwing me off is the wrap itself: it's nori (seaweed) and rice paper. Didn't taste salty at all like most restaurant fare, but the yellow dip was tumeric aioli, I'd guess 2 tbsp, it was delicious, so probably pretty oily 😆…

Salt - I needed more
I haven’t been logging lately but have been maintaining in a 10 pound range for almost two years. Lately, I’ve been snacking way too much in the evening and I’m approaching the high end of the range. Why? Spoke to one of the coaches in my gym. He pointed out that because I tend to sweat heavily, and it has been hot and…

Hey all! Looking at cutting back on alcohol intake but am not the kind of person who can just enjoy a glass of water when gathering with others. Eating back exercise calories?
Do you eat back your exercise calories? Why/why not? There are probably thousands of threads on this but I couldn't find them. For me, rn, I'm not. I usually burn (it's all an approximation anyway) 400 extra. Eating 1400 rn, without adding those back. Thanks! <3

Hey everyone, Firstly I realise that to many people this will seem trivial, particularly for those who work overnight or 24-hour shifts. However you do it, kudos to you. Anyway, I started a new job in retail. I find long shifts easier because there is a break normally at least every 3 hours. Tonight I am working 5pm-9pm. I…
