Needing help with were I am going wrong
I am a 32 year old male, I work in a flooring mill and stay very active 10 hours a day due to that. As soon as I get home from work I strength train for a minimum of 30 minutes. My caloric intake tends to stay around 2000 a day. Why can I not lose weight? Where am I going wrong? I have roughly and easy 15-20 lbs to lose.…

DEPO and weight gain
Hey everyone, this is my first post. Im posting about my experience on the depo shot and my rapid weight gain. My doctor prescribed me the depo shot back in November 2019 and I gained 15 pounds of PURE FAT. I know its all fat because I compared my inbody scan to right before my depo shot (oct 2019) to now (feb 2020) I was…

Weight Loss & Fitness
I have previously used 'My Fitness Pal' to assist in food and activity tracking and recently decided that i needed to have a significant slim down and et pout to get my fitness back on track. I guess that being shielding over lockdown had just helped bad habits return and i had to make a determined effort - Plan60 is my…

Does anybody's digital scale do this?
So I purchased a digital scale (WW body fat% one) in August to get a better idea of my weight loss because I thought they were more accurate then the standard Publix scales.... When I weigh myself on the digital scale it shows the same weight for days and days (like to the exact .1) even if I weigh myself before I go to…

What is up with the "too old" mindset (at least in the US)?
Being involved in more fitness-orientated groups I know and see many people who stay fit, active, trim well into their senior years. Yet there is this pervading mindset (at least in the US, I cannot speak to other countries) that once you're much over 40 you're "old" and can't do 'things' anymore - be they sports, staying…

5lb Weight Loss Plateau
In May I began my weight loss journey and I have managed to lose 5lbs but my body seems to have adjusted to my 3x a week workouts and healthier eating lifestyle that I haven't been able to lose anymore weight. Due to my long work hours I can only work our Fr - Sun and manage to do 40 minutes of advanced cardio with a…

Weight loss
Hi I have been maintaining my calories and eating healthier options most of the time, I do tend to have some crisps now and then. I haven’t checked my weight since I have started tracking my calories but the stomach belly fat doesn’t seem like it is shifting or am I being impatient? I feel lighter but I don’t entirely look…

Blended vs Unblended foods
So pretty simple, is there any difference between eating some pieces of fruit and drinking the same fruit after being blended. Basically I have seen some people claim blending fruit makes it have more calories but I can't see how that happens. I could maybe see it impact the absorption speed, but in the end it would be the…

Covid Weight Loss
I put on a lot of weight during Covid close to 25lbs and was already overweight a bit went from 205 to 230lbs. I decided to stop it on 8/7 as of today I’m down 16lbs and feeling good. Funny thing is not one person has noticed so feel a little defeated too.

Reached goal during Covid but now - eating too much?
Hi. Anyone did kind of the opposite - their fitness goal during the height of Covid and now losing their hard-earned results? Need some KISS, cold-water-in-the-face feedback. I reached an ultimate weight loss goal during March 2020- April 2021. Lost about 30lbs to get to 112 although I would’ve been over the moon at 125.…

MyFitnessPal auto calculations
I'm surprised MFP hasn't recalculated the amount of calories I can eat as I lose weight. I notice the amount of calories burned on the same walk gets less and less as I weigh in at less weight. I used to burn 109 calories for a 20 minute walk and now it's only 105, but my calorie intake allowance hasn't changed. I'm not…

Weightlifting Newbie -> Cutting/Building muscle same time
Hi there, I’ve recently begun my weight loss journey from 202 LBS and I’m down to 185lbs over the last 2 months following a calorie intake of 1500 calories a day. I am 5’7 and consume 100+g of protein a day while weightlifting every other day. Is this sustainable and good for me to keep track on?

Ribeye or risotto??
Im nearly down to my ideal weight, been doing Keto & calorie counting on & off, but Keto definitely works for me. Going to an Italian restaurant on Saturday & stuck on what to eat, my choice would be ribeye steak or risotto, the menu doesn’t have the calories.

For weight loss and muscle building...
After putting on a load of weight during 2021 I'm back at trying to get back to how I was. February 2020 I was weighing in at 50kg with a body fat percentage of 25 average which for my height put me at a BMI of about 20. June 2022 I was weighing in at 64kg (didn't measure fat) which put me at a BMI of about 26/27 so I was…

No more logging food!
Today after 127 days of food tracking and about 10lbs weight lose, 50lbs without MFP; I’ve decided to end food tracking. I believe it is time. It has given me great info, however believe I just don’t need it to continue maintaining and body strengthening. Wish me luck and add comments of your success doing the same.

Beta blockers
I have recently been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and am currently taking bisoprolol, lixiana and losartan. I’ve found that even while I’m working out at the gym my heart rate is reduced (I used to aim for 130-140 bpm and now I’m struggling to get above 110) Will this affect my calorie burn? According to my smart…

Besides CICO, what eating plan have you chosen
What the title says - every "diet" boils down to CICO when it comes to our weight and body composition, but curious what other way(s) of eating you follow. Along with that, if you care to share, where are you at in terms of your goals and experience (ie: trying to lose weight, gain, maintain, support activities; newbie,…
