Negative Net Calories
I’m 110 pounds right now and usually have a negative net calorie intake, or about a 200 net calorie weekly average. This is just the difference between my exercise and food intake not including metabolism or anything. Is having the average net calories be negative good? Will it speed weight loss?

Need help!!!
I have been working with a bariatric doctor who specializes in non-curting support (I DON'T WANT SURGERY!). I started at 405 pounds on December 30 2021 and as of today, I am down 25 pounds, which I had lost before Feb 24th, and have been fluctuating same 5-10 pounds since. I have cut my carbs from over 300g to 75-90 grams…

MFP vs Garmin
I wear a Garmin watch that I have linked to MFP, but the calorie burns from them are rather different. The burns are based on my step count. Today, the Garmin app shows I have earned 222 calories from exercise but once synced to MFP, this has dropped to 188. While not drastically different, if this was extrapolated to an…

Is it normal to gain weight on a diet and exercise daily?
Hi I have been struggling with my weight loss journey I just started about a month ago dieting and only eating 1200 cal a day and eating very clean, no carbs, no dairy. I’ve been exercising for at least 30 minutes to an hour a day walking, running, and doing workouts for abs arms and legs. I have noticed that I am gaining…

Possibly a stupid question on weight loss and calorie target
Hi all so I'm not new to the fitness and dieting scene however it's something I never thought about and with a major health issue that began in 2020 I became unable to train at the gym or go for walks . Built myself back up to good length walks now and I use mfp to track my diet. I'm set at 1790 kcal for my daily target…

Stop that Munching 4-6?
Every day I get home from work, I munch.. on fruit, yoghurt, granola, cake.. and by the time I am done I don't really want dinner. How on earth do I break this cycle? I can skip breakfast, have a light lunch but then cave in mid afternoon till 5pm.

Weigh yourself daily or weekly?
Do you prefer to weigh yourself every day or once every week? (I personally weigh myself every Monday morning as that’s the only day of the week I choose to have a rest day. I like to see my weight loss progress look like a nosedive rather than a zigzag.)

size 4 girls what is your height and weight?
these posts always fascinate me so I had to do my own. I am 5'3" and large framed. Right now I am sitting at 151.6 and have very loose 8's and right on 6's. When I get back to 140 I will fit all my size 4's. I think that is small for that weight? My best friend at the same weight and an inch shorter than me wears an 8 but…

Weight loss
I’m a 32yo male and this is the first time in my life that I am putting serious effort into shedding weight. A few years ago, I was 180lbs with a BMI of 24, but over the past few years I’ve let myself go and peaked at 242lbs (BMI 33). My goal is to lose roughly 60lbs and get back to my healthy BMI by the end of this…

Hey there! Part rant, part anecdotal-feedback requested. Thanks in advance for reading! So, the good news is, I added Happy Scale to my morning routine and I can see TRENDS better. Otherwise, I’d be pulling my hair out! I’m 5ft5in, 168-172lbs, 38, female. I’d like to make my way to 150lbs. And… I’m getting there. This time…

Challenge to hit calorie goals
Anyone else find it hard to get in the calories, protein and carbs suggested by the app? I'm trying to lean down a bit for better running/cycling performance but i seem to need to eat more than i typically would to achieve that? Male, 35, have a 2070 goal per day, been tracking for 30 days so far but finding it hard to hit…

Binge Eating and Logging?
I have a question and it might sound rather stupid. Some of my "friends" here have days when they binge eat or go heavily over their calorie intake. I am no exception. I had a 1,800 calorie easter candy party not so long ago myself. However, it seems that many (too many) stop logging in the moment when they know that they…

(For the Women) - Weight Loss and Irregular/Stopping Menstruation
I've been losing weight for about 8 weeks now and I have stopped having periods (I have lost ~10 pounds and I'm still considered obese). I know, for sure, that I'm not pregnant so I looked for other reasons for it to stop. A quick Google search shows that many women experience irregular to totally skipping cycles during…

You’re not eating enough…
I often get “you’re not eating enough” when I complain that I don’t lose weight, but if I let MFP set my nutrition based on my goals, it gives me 1200 calories. What gives? How do I figure out how much is right? When I do the BMR stuff is suggests WAY more than 1200 calories.

Moms how did you simplify your meals to make it achievable to track with kids.
I want to lose just 10lbs. But I’ve tried getting back into tracking and it’s not as easy as it was before kids😫🤣 and I need a easier food routine for me so I can succeed. I intermittent fast until lunch because I’m not a breakfast eater. I keep eat simple for lunches but dinner is where I fall apart. I like to cook for my…
