Combining intermediate fasting with calorie restrictions
I am 47 M and gained a bunch of weight during COVID 6’ft 267, and decided I needed a change. I have been doing the 16:8 combined with a calorie restriction of 1200, and cardio 5 days a week. The IF naturally forced me to consume less calories. I know 1200 is too low and will gradually increase of weeks to come. I do high…

Trying this again
Hi all! I'm going to attempt this weight losing journey once again. I feel like it's almost useless for me to even try. I don't eat because I'm hungry, I eat because I'm bored. Even though I have a ton of things to do, I can't seem to stop picking. If it's there...I eat it. Any suggestions how to overview this? I hope…

Plateau
I've been experiencing a plateau for over a month now. I do crossfit/bootcamp style workouts 3x a week and lift 1 day. I put in around 7,000-10,000 steps a day too, including multiple trips up and down flights of stairs. I drink 92oz of water or more a day. I eat around 2000 calories a day, often less though. I am careful…

Gained 12lbs in past 6 days?!?
I am so frustrated and don’t even know how this is possible. I log diligently (food scale/measuring cups), have an extremely active job and I never eat back the calories I’ve burned. I generally get in 12-15k steps a day because I work at a restaurant. I know weight loss isn’t a science, but I’m so frustrated. I have a LOT…

What are the best shoes to squat/ deadlift in?
I’m sorry if this has already been asked, but does wearing flat shoes make a difference for leg day? I always wear Nike Air Max 270’s(pictured here) and am wondering if having the arch affects form/muscle building progress?

How to Recalibrate Your Apple Watch to Work With MFP and Health Apps
This might be useful to some folks who’ve been asking watch related questions lately. Firm fat vs. Jiggly fat?
This is an embarrassing question...but I'll ask anyway: Does fat change as you lose more? or is it loose skin? I've noticed that my fattier areas seem to be less 'firm' and have gotten softer/more jiggly. Is that possible? thoughts? my belly is grossing me out now..

Sabotaging yourself when you're close to goal
What kind of a brain thing is telling you that now you're so close to where you want to be so now you can indulge, reward, or what? Do any of you have issues with that type of glitch? :) Right now I'm going strong, I have about 6# to my ultimate goal, maybe less IDK. But it's happened in my past, as soon as I enter that…

I ate perfectly last week, stayed within my macros and worked out 4 times and didn't lose any weight
What gives? How do I know what I might need to change? I'm staying under 1200 calories and doing everything my nutritionist told me to do and exercising 4 times per week. Last week I didn't lose any weight. It's very discouraging.

What’s the best diet for an active person with borderline type II diabetes, paleo or ketogenic?
Is there a recommended diet for persons who are active and pre type II diabetic? And if so, is there a recommended calorie adjustment ratio rate, that would be more accurate to calculate active caloric consumption? I ask this because the caloric ratio metrics for weight loss with type II Diabetics, is not the same ratio as…
