Activity Level Setting vs. Actual Daily Activities
I keep going back and forth on this so I thought I would ask here: What do you have your activity level set to on here, and do you log your exercise? My BMR as ~1600 cals/day. When set to "active,"(which is how I would describe myself at 6-ish hours of exercise a week) my calorie goal is ~1800 cals/day. I generally don't…

Eating right, intensive aerobic exercise, not losing weight!
Hi there, I've been on a journey of creating a sustainable diet (committing to low and moderate calorie density foods, fresh and natural foods), watching my calorie intake since last December. I also signed up for a 6-week high-intensity Zoom aerobic both camp 3x a week. In addition to that, I fast walk a total of 4 miles…

Health checkup, first dexa scan, quitting my diet
Went in for my yearly health checkup today. I been waiting 3 long weeks for this day as I was planning to quit my diet 3 weeks ago. My "petty" reason I hate corona
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I contracted covid 19. Praise God I have had a mild case and I already know I have SO much to be thankful for. Strength or Cardio-Sit ups
Do sit-ups count as strength training or cardio? I ask because there seems to be 2 versions but from what I read online, fitness trainers say crunches and situps are not cardio as they don't work the heart? Just trying to figure out where to put my 30 situps I did today in 5 minutes.

Does the calorie deficit work?
I was just informed by a family member who was a bikini body builder and is now a nurse that my using my fitness pal would not work "in the long run" because not all calories are the same and being in a calorie deficit won't matter unless you eat 6 times a day to increase metabolism. And told me that increasing metabolism…

The Importance of ACCURATE Logging
When I prelog my food for the week, dinner is generally a recipe I have saved. It gives me an idea of the general amount of calories the meal should be. I use the recipe import feature for this. My own recipes I create and base the serving size on a per gram basis, so all I have to do is weigh what I put on my plate. Easy…

Foam Rolling for Injuries
I’ve had a subscapularis impingement for the past 3ish years. It was really bad at first but now has slowly improved. If it flares up, it just feels a bit inflamed and achy, as opposed to when I first injured it and I’d experience sharp pain. Doing low pulley rows I’ve noticed is one of the main movements that help it feel…
