sicky and dieting
I woke up the other morning with a badly sore throat, a sinus headache, and I was congested. I have not felt good for a few days now, but I have still been trying to keep on my diet and exercise. I have forced myself to exercise all the days I've been sick. The first day, I worked out at the gym for 45 minutes, and then…

Do you think this will…

A Question About My Weight Gain?
I have been paying more attention to how people hold their weight because I am curious about my own. My family has a lot of overweight people in it, but I notice with my Uncles and Aunts, their fat is soft and pliable. Not to sound disrespectful, but they jiggle when they move. Myself, I have packed this weight mainly in…

Question/ Opinion Something......
I am an educational aide so I just started back to work this week. Summer was pretty laid back and fairly sedentary. I wear my pedometer nearly everyday and today I walked 11 miles a total of 21209 steps. I am exhausted and I am unsure if I should really try to eat all the calories it is telling me to eat. I normally have…

Eating habits drastically changing soon ...
Well, after a bit of researching I have come to the conclusion that I will be changing my eating habits even more than I already have. And sooner than later. *lol* I had already resolved to eating healthier and exercising more while trying to get back into shape. But I hadn’t even thought about all the extra changes…

Thanks Mike!
Hey- Just a note of thanks for the help with the food diaries, etc. I have found it helps me to plan out today what I am going to eat tomorrow- kind of cuts out that impulsive snacking thing. I know right now that I am going out with girlfriends tomorrow night for a couple of drinks and I had no idea that a gin and tonic…

Just looking for suggestions...
I am a person who is always willing to try something at least once. So please let me know if you have any suggestions. Has something worked for you that maybe you can pass on? I already drink nothing but water so that cuts out all that nasty sugar and calories from other drinks. I do of course have some milk for calcium…

Just a little tip
I saw this tip in a magazine and just wanted to share it. Keep a bottle of clear nail polish near your snacks/ in your kitchen. Before you grab a bite, decide if you're hungry or just munching. If you're not hungry, grab the polish. It will stifle the boredom and keep your fingers from being able to pick at something you…

NutriSystem and/or Jenny Craig
Has anyone had long time success with these? I tried Nutrisystem for a month and found most of the food completely inedible! My dog wouldn't even touch it and she eats duck poop! I did lose some weight, but only because I wasn't eating very much at all. Is Jenny Craig food any better? Also, do you have to do the programs…

Weightless In 10 months
Yesterday when I left the gym, I weighed in at 151.5. Today when I got to the gym it was 151.9. Leaving the gym again it was 151.4. In that time, I burned about 375 calories via 30 mins on the elliptical machine. So by that math, if I did an hour every day I'd lose 1 pound every day just at the gym alone. I'd be virtually…

I've found that if my body thinks that I'm trying to lose weight it will hold whatever I eat. Does anyone have any suggestions to this problem??

Writing in Mexico
I am currently working on book and sit a lot. I have grown children in the US; friends and family here but I am alone a lot. Need to exercise, which is hard for me and stay on a nutritious food regimen to lose weight. Any authors out there or "like minds" interested in history? Need a pen-pal for shared support and a smile.
