Counting in college/work
Hi! I was interested in hearing how everyone counted calories while working or going to school. I've lost and maintained 40 pounds but in my freshman year I put on 10. And I just wanted to hear if anyone had any advice as to how they tried to stay active and still remember to count every meal!

Getting used to the new you
Not sure if this is the best category for this, but how long has it taken you to get used to the new you? I'm about 10 pounds away from goal, and I still don't really recognize myself when I look in the mirror. I still get a lot of comments from people who are just noticing my weight loss, and I wonder when those will…

if I go from moderately active to mostly sedentary? I plan on becoming a truck driver. I have lost a lot of weight after having been obese pretty much all my life. I am the kind of person who if I slip up I will gain weight. I'm currently a line cook so my job is a little physical, as well as go to the gym a couple days a…

1000 days of calorie counting on mfp
I started 1000 days ago today and I lost 37 kg over the first 10 months. I have tracked every meal since day one, and this is the only way for me to keep me from over eating. Calories are just a number, and not real science - but counting works wonders. I am 5'7/171cm and stay below 160lbs/72kg by setting my daily goal to…

Do you make up for "cheat" meals?
So to all you maintainers, especially the ones who manage it without logging - if you have an event, meal out or just fancy a treat and suspect or know you have gone over your cals, do you make up for this in the following days? If I go over I always try and make it up afterwards, or save up calories for the night, but I'm…

The mindset of maintenance without logging
I have been maintaining for about two years, but only six months without logging. During the time I was losing, I tried to read everything I could find about healthy eating, weight loss and exercise. I was on MFP all hours of the day. I memorized menus, calories of foods, created lower calorie recipes of my favorites.…

Post-Ketosis and Carbohydrate Intake
Tfw had no idea whether to post this here, in general dieting or nutrition, since the question covers all three. But I've been wondering something: when I hit my desired weight, what do I do…
