Activity level
I'm a student. I go to school at night, do one hour of barre class or yoga a day, do daily house work (laundry, dishes) & occasionally walk my dogs. I do take naps... Does this sound lightly active or active? Sitting at a desk for school isn't exactly active...

Diabetic advice.
When I started my plan I was taking 2 shots of insulin a day (type II). After one month and ten days I had gotten down to no insulin at all. My last a1c was 5.7. I'm sure it has been because I have had 6 spaced out meals a day with 15 carbs each. Now I've lost my weight and using calories I think I know how to maintain…

How long before I can tell if this is a real gain?
I'm up a few lbs today but it is Monday and I'm always up 1-3 lbs due to heavier eating on the weekends and it usually goes back down mid week. How long should I wait to see if the weight from the Holidays is real before I adjust my eating? I mean, I don't want to stress over a few lbs and push myself to cut back if I…

How much to you allow your weight to go up?
Weight obviously fluctuates, and the number of the scale can't stay the same all the time. So how high will you let the scale go up until you realise that you're slowly falling back into you're old ways again? I like to keep my weight at about 130-135 pounds. So far the highest the scale has gone up for me is 133 pounds,…

Hardest Part - Acceptance
Hi, I think I have finally gotten through to myself that I need to appreciate where I am right now; right today; at this present time and at my present age! I keep trying to say I would look better and feel better if I were only 129 pounds. Really? Really? I feel great right now and I know I have come a very long way from…

Please don't bash on me. I would appreciate solid advice.
Hi. My weight has been a roller coaster these last few years. In 2012, I ended up underweight and diagnosed with Anorexia. I went through counseling, got a nutritionist, and recovered really well. Of course, the goal then was to gain weight and up my calories without shocking my body. Recently, I've become overweight (not…

Increase calorie intake after restrictive diet
I am currently on a restrictive diet of about 700 calories per day. I am a 24 year old female, 5 foot 1 and at a healthy weight, I do not want to gain or loose but I think calorie restriction has gone out of hand and would like to increase to about 1200 which according to my fitness pal is my BMR. I do not exercise more…

Why explain your diet to me?
I lost 60lbs last year and for some reason everyone now seems to want to tell me about THEIR diet! They don't usually ask how I lost the weight, they just start in by saying things like, "I've decided to give up sugar, or carbs or...." Things like, I am eating my food on a smaller plate from now on or I have quit snacking…

Poll for those maintaining at goal
If you ate the MFP recommended calories/nutrients (and didn't set your own custom goals), did you actually lose at the rate it said you would? I'm just starting out, and have mine set to lose 2 lbs/week and am just curious how accurate it is in reality. Thanks!

How did you all fair over the festive period?
Just wondering how everyone got on with all the foodie treats over Christmas? I ate 1000 calories over TDEE on Christmas day, ate at TDEE on Boxing Day and in the few days since have been in slight deficit. I DIDN'T GAIN ANYTHING and I'm soooo happy  (I waited 5 days to weigh myself to account for sodium) This is my…

Figuring out your TDEE
I went through the data of the last two months, and the average seems to be about 2200 calories... but it does seem high. I know Scooby is just an approximation, but it gives me 2100 for moderately active, and I'm really not much more than that (especially now that it's cold and you won't see me go for a walk just because…

I've been eating 1300+ my fitbit calories and maintaining but a week ago I decided to add another hundred calories since MFP says that I should be eating 1480 calories to maintain my weight. However, I've gained a kg since then I'm thinking of going back to 1300 calories + fitbit calories. Any advice? I'm confused.

It's 2015 and losing weight is not on my New Year's Resolutions list!
But maintaining my weight loss and building more definition is! I am so happy not to have to focus on losing pounds and can't wait to see what this year brings. After tonight I am cutting alcohol out of my diet and focusing on building the strong physique I have always wanted but never figured I could achieve. What is your…
