Hit My Target
I hit my target weight last Friday and am more than pleased with my progress. My intent is to stay in a deficit for now. I'm going to Maui next Wednesday for a week and decided I'd live a little while there (but still track) and upon my return see where I am and adjust based on that. I'm probably overthinking this a bit…

Cut out the bad to let in the good
Thanks to MyFitnessPal! I been conveniently keeping track of my calories along with intermittent fasting to not only lose fat, but build muscle. The photo on the left was me at 178lbs with over 20% body fat and now at 164lbs. Lifting heavy to moderate, high intensity sprints implemented, and of course high quality…

Don’t give up.
Tears of joy- that's what happened in the Old Navy dressing room. I was so big for so long I didn't even realize it. It was just who I'd become. 2xl and size 18. I was unhappy, eating and sleeping as much as possible. My heels hurt so much I had to wear a brace. Fast forward 18 months I'm wearing a small and size 4! I'm…

It worked for me!
I had a baby then started college at night, which had me eating dinner twice. I went from a size 13 to 18 in like 10 days. I felt so ugly, so I decided to do something about it. I joined a gym and downloaded my fitness pal. I also had 1 cheat day a week. I did Zumba 3xs a week and weights too. I dropped the first 30 lbs…

How long did it take you guys?
Hey! To all those people who have lost weight with MFP, how much weight did you lose weekly? Did you exercise initially? Did you set goals for yourself? Were there times when you got frustrated with calorie counting but had to continue? Comment down below because I'd really like to hear how things went for everyone, and I…

Finally pulled the parking brake when going into cruise control...
It's amazing how I can go all day eating healthy, keeping track of my calories, and the moment I step through the door, my wife says "I made pizza", and I instantly go "OK!" without a second thought, and become a different person. It's like I go into this uncontrolled "cruise control" state. This time I stopped at the…

Just over a years difference! (Pictures Included)
This is not my end point, as I am making healthier choices every day. There is only just over a year difference in between the two pictures. I don’t go to the gym, I don’t restrict my foods and I only count my calories when I feel I’m going too far off track. I love pizza, chocolate and cake so much and I won’t ever not…

Stronglifts 5x5 success (ongoing)
Last week was my tenth week doing Stronglifts. I have gained six pounds, and my body fat has decreased 1.2%. My squat has doubled, 145 to 305 lbs. I'm near doubling my deadlift as well. Something I never thought imaginable since I have degenerative back disease. I let it hold me back for a long time. The fear of the…

Transformation photo and story
I hadn’t struggled with weight until my mid 20’s. I played football in college so I always had a decent physique. Once I finished playing I became much more sedentary, and that’s when the lbs starting coming on. I had to find something to fill the void of football so I turned to powerlifting. In powerlifting it really…

It only took 2 months...
Hey there everyone. I have been dutifully logging in my food and exercise here for a little over 2 months. I have been truly excited for everyone who has posted their successes on the boards, despite the fact that I wasn't really seeing much in the way of my own scale moving. But, after reading others' posts, I know that…

Looking for young people who can share?
I have a teenage son who is overweight (obese by bmi) and is struggling to be healthy and lose the weight. We are working on it together as a family but I think sometimes it's hard for him to "get it" when it's coming from his parents. Is there anyone here teen/early 20's that would be willing to share your story/pictures…

You did it
You look powerful and happy. I am on that journey as I post. I woke this morning and said to myself I am not going on a diet next week. I am living life like the person I want to be including not abusing my body with food. I have started to workout again and I can't wait to get to the point that it feels strange not to…

Going...going...Gone!
The day before Thanksgiving the scales showed 232.6--- a new " lowest " number for me. My goal was to maintain and stay under 240 which I did. Christmas Day the scales showed 240. Since 1 / 2 / 18, I've been working at it and today the scales showed 232.2--a new " lowest " number for a total of 41 pounds gone since June…

Small but proud
Today I decided I wanted to swap a turkey sandwich (which I don’t think is terrible, but not great either) for a big bowl of zoodles with broccoli and some spaghetti sauce. It was delish! I am proud of my extra veggies, and wanted to share. :) Does anybody else have a small but proud moment they would like to share?

New Year's Resolution - 1 year on
Like many people, I started out 2017 determined to lose weight. Today marks 1 year since the day I started logging my food and exercising. We all know that resolutions often fall by the wayside when "normal life" kicks in later in January, so I wanted to share my story to show that, if you stick with it, you too can…

Lost inches, scale remains the same... :P
No change in scale, but started telling a difference in less than 2 months of weightlifting and some cardio. Hoping to see the scale drop soon.
