NSV..new pant size! *pic*
Just for giggles I went out last week to "try" a different pant size. I was beyond shocked to find that 22's fit me! I haven't been in 22's in close to 8 years! Wore this Tuesday for my daughters last ECFE Toddler Tuesday class and I had so many compliments! (considering they saw me at my heaviest when I was pregnant! I…

My first NSV
I'm so pumped I just have to share. I used to love swimming but through the years have stopped - mostly because I'd be SO out of breath I couldn't continue! We belong to a Y and my 10year old DD swims competitively and she's been encouraging me to get in the pool. I did a few months ago - but I couldn't swim the length of…

A little NSV
Yesterday I went to try on jeans at my favorite store. The lady that works there knows me because I go in so much. At the beginning of the school year I bought some size 18 jeans from the plus side of the store. When I went in yesterday, I got several comments about my weight loss and they were so excited for me that they…

Tiny little NSV
So I have to make a quick preface to this NSV... I have a 2 and a half year old daughter (almost lol) and although I have always been in the 260lbs range even before her 260lbs on my body AFTER I had her just didn't look the same. Skin sagged, muscle tone GONE, flexibility GONE.... pretty much everything that was alright…

So EXCITED
So I'm 29 and I haven't seen anything in the one hundreds since HIGH SCHOOL until this morning.....I'm so happy I think I'm gonna go dance in the rain :)

NSV, so much excitement!
Well I've lost 11 pounds and now feel so much healthier! I had bought a pair of dress pants to tight because I just loved them and within two weeks had gained to much to even fit them, today I tried them on and to my astonishment not only do they fit again but they fit better even then when I bought them! Wahoo, have…

The victories are piling up...
I am finally back into my pre-baby jeans - 6 yrs after having her, I'm halfway to a goal I never thought I'd reach again and I got my first comment about how much weight I seem to be losing. My whole life my weightloss has been a rollercoaster, where I'd lose a few pounds...sit there for a while...then lose a few more. I…

Never written on the message board but...
here goes...I'm going to make a confession to you all...since all of you are just so amazing to me! Over the last few months, I have been pretty good about logging my food and exercise (when or if I do any) and really haven't been very inspiring with any of it. But this Sunday, I've decided to make a certain personal…

Small sign of change!
I work for a semiconductor fab and work in a clean room so I wear a "bunny suit" while in the clean room. I've lost 15lbs since I started 3 1/2 weeks ago and yesterday I was able to go from XXL to XL gown size!!!! So far no one at work has asked if I've lost weight but I'm getting close to the point where someone is going…

Jeans from age 16? Check.
Hi All! This my 12th week on MFP and I've been seeing lots of progress, feeling better, dropping lbs, and body fat. But like we all know, the forest can be hard to see through the trees so its nice to concrete measuring posts. Today, I hit a big one. I fit in my favorite pair of jeans from high school. Over the years I…

I won the Biggest Loser contest at work
I did it!!! I won the Biggest Loser contest at work. I was so excited!! Not for the money or the "bragging rights". But because I achieved!!! My new goal, to lose my last few pounds and keep it off. I don't want to have to be in the contest next January. I want to have kept my weight off and not need to do it again.

NSV!!
I have been in a bit of a mood this week, I've hit this impossible plateau that is driving me mad which makes this NSV really matter to me, it's all I have right now! Last night when I went to put the chicken I had pulled out in the morning into the oven to roast I realized it was still frozen solid. It was already 6:45 PM…

I lost My Son plus some!
I just realized in looking at my ticker that I have lost more than my youngest (5) weighs. When I think about the times I have to carry him to bed and how it is an effort, I realize that I was carrying more than that weight around. I feel so great and fit now!

My first mental victory!
After having been super good for the last 2 weeks, it all fell apart this weekend. I didnt have an almighty binge but certainly didnt stay within my calorie allowance. However, I'm right back to it today which is a huge victory for me - my past experiences have always been 'falling off wagon' = 'goodbye to healthy eating…

I Exercised Today!
I know most of you exercise every day and you've reached this milestone quite a while ago, but I was having an impossible time just doing it! I have a gym membership, I have a gazelle, a bicycle, free weights, exercise videos, yoga mat, resistance band, stability ball, shapeup shoes, and comfy clothes to exercise in and I…

Two NSV's Today
1. Climbing about 15 stories-worth of stairs with a bunch of 8th graders on a school field trip and not being the most out-of-breath adult. (I was so grateful that I'd been working out more, because a couple of months ago it would've nearly killed me.) As it was, I was breathing hard but didn't really break a sweat.…

Teeny-tiny victory with huge consequences
I am finding that my body is adjusting extremely well (and quickly) to my reduced intake. I often have to mentally remind myself to grab my snack so I stay on track, instead of having my stomach remind me. And smaller amounts more than satisfy me, and I'm happy with that. I don't have the "I'll stop when it hurts" mindset…

My progress in pictures - can you see a difference?
The first picture is taken april 4th, and the second is today april 20th. I've been working out for a while, but these past two weeks have been really bad when it comes to diet. I found out I should take a new picture to see if it was any progress even though the diet have been bad, and I do see a slight difference. Or am…

Very first ever NSV!!
Okay so it may not be much but...I was able to walk over 3 miles today on a nature trail near where I live without stopping or getting short of breath. In fact, I was able to talk to my trainer throughout the ENTIRE walk!! A month ago I'd have barely been able to walk one whole mile, and I would've had to stop halfway on…

NSV =)
So today I decided to enjoy the nice weather and go for a run outside. Well, I ended up having my best run ever - 3 miles in 35 minutes, which included my 5-minute warm-up! The biggest accomplishment for me wasn't the time (though it's the fastest I've ever run that distance), it was that I ran 3 miles without stopping!…

My 1st NSV: Self-Control
I overcame my first episode of stress eating today since starting up two weeks ago. Emotional/stress eating is what got me into the current state of affairs so this was pretty huge. After a long 9 hour day at work, I had an Accounting exam across town and then try to make it to Zumba in less than an hour and a half. As I…

Small NSV
We bought an exercise bike not quite a month ago. The first night my hubby had it put together, I hopped on to see what I could do. It was mortifying - I could only do 4 minutes, and thought I was going to die at the end of it! Well, tonight I got on and was able to go for **50** minutes without stopping! And I probably…

Here's the reason to stick with it when it gets hard.
For years, I looked down and was embarrassed by the size of my stomach. As it grew, my embarrassment turned to shame and helplessness. Day after day I worked to ignore the shape I was in so I wouldn't dwell on it. Today thanks to MFP things are different. I look down and I'm still amazed that the gut is gone. It's GONE!…

Whoo hoo I found my leg hinges!!
Whoo hoo found my leg hinges today!!!! Definately tender after stationary cycling but under those bumps I can feel my hip bones. I haven't felt those leg hinges for some time so i'm really happy, it's been worth a numb bum cycling nowhere in my conservatory. Yeah i know............ i'm daft! but…
