Another NSV I had to share!
My latest blood test - cholesterol and blood sugar - is improving and I'm no longer dangerously close to becoming diabetic!! "Keep up the great work Tasha, your doing wonderful!" she said. That was by far the best phone call I've received in a VERY long time!

NSV...and MFP saved me a ton of money. (embarrassing)
Thanks to MFP helping me to get in better shape (still have a long ways to go), I saved a ton of money tonight!! I didn't have to buy a new washer and dryer!! You're going what?? I did a really boneheaded thing today by washing rugs. The first few were fine...but, not the heavy duty ones with the rubber backing. (They…

Less Waste
My NSV has to do with waste (rather than my waist) I've always bought a lot of fruit and veg when I do the grocery shopping (because I knew I was SUPPOSED to) and my wife used to complain that it would just sit in the fridge and spoil. (Especially things like cucumber, cherry tomatoes and celery, which she doesn't…

YIPPEEEEEEE, I've made it over the hump
I just realized, that I am more than half way done with my journey!!!!! I cant believe it, I started out needing to lose 55 lbs and I now only need to lose 25.8!!! I have FINALLY developed a "healthy" relationship with food, and learned to listen to my body in terms of hungry or not. I still have a long way to go, but not…

Halfway to my goal (with pics)..38 lbs down!!!
It's been a hard journey but surprisingly not that long ( I have averaged a 2 lb weight loss per week). I never knew I had it in me to lose weight but I have quickly realized that you need to give it your all and push as hard as you can and you will see results. The biggest changes I have made are: -drinking 8+ glasses of…

Progress Pics!
Thought it was about time for me to post pictures! I am now down 20 pounds. I started at 202 lbs and now currently 182 lbs. I have posted 3 pictures of the beginning, middle, and now current. You can see a difference already by the pictures, although I don't really see a difference when I look in the mirror every day. I…

My first little NSV
Last night I was wearing a pair of my regular jeans at work (ones I wear all the time) and I continually had to keep pulling them up. They were so loose it was actually getting annoying, but made me so happy at the same time!! I never measured myself in the beginning but it seems I just may be losing inches!! YAY!!

My NSV!!
I ran today..a whole freakin mile!! I don't even care that it was on a low speed on the treadmill (5.2), or that it took me 12 minutes to do..I did it and I feel amazing! Prior to today, I couldn't even run for longer than 3 minutes, and now that I have accomplished this, I can't wait to see what else I can do

I've been on MFP since the start of Jan - it has taken a while but I am now 21lbs down and on my way to achieving my goal weight for my wedding on 5th June...I think it does get increasingly harder as you try to lose more weight (and you have a deadline to keep to!) Any top tips for the more rapid weight-loss? I know…

Really small success - but I'm so happy!
Hi All This is my 4th week now. I lost 1 kg (2 lbs) in my first week in which I started eating a lot healthier and started exercising 5 times a week. After that first week I ended up putting the weight back on ( naughty but I haven't declared that in the check-in section) . My body must have gone into shock!!! I have then…

I'm completely convinced.
It's been just over a week since I recommitted myself to eating right and working out. Initially, I lost just under 3 lbs of water weight. That was within my first two days. Then, I stopped. I did not lose a thing until yesterday, which was about 5 days. In fact, the scale was telling me that I had gained weight. I was…

5 miles and a SMILE
Just jogged 5 miles without stopping! Still kind of can't believe it. Even back in high school when I was in pretty good shape I could never seem to do distance...just thought I was "not a runner." Tonight I took it slow, kept going, and voila! Who knows...maybe there's a runner inside all of us waiting to bust out?

Tiny little victory...
My BMI just fell back into the high end of the normal range today! :D I'm 5'7", weighed in this morning at 157.4 pounds, and my BMI is now 24.6...which is .4 below the "overweight" category. (: My goal: to stay in the normal range for BMI for the rest of my life. I still have 14 pounds to lose, but I'm so happy about this.…

I noticed that my pants are getting loose, so I put on my belt this morning. I haven't worn it since joining MFP, so I was pleasantly surprised when it belted one notch tighter than the last time I put it on! It made me very happy, so I thought I would share.

When I see others and there progress I get pumped. MFP please help me out. I look at this forum multiple times a day to stay the course.

very small family NSV, leads to a VERY bright future =)
I have been dieting and exercising since shortly after my husband deployed in the fall, for alot of reasons, one of the biggest being that when my husband gets home I want him to say WOW! But also, because I want my kids and husband to reap the benefits of a healthy, happy, active mama! I have made small changes here and…
