I am curious!
I actually defeated my anxiety and shoot three pictures of myself on my worst aka now - today. I see people everywhere regretting they don't have a legitimate 'before' picture, so I figured I wanted to take some. I wore a bra and sweat pants... I must admit I didn't dare seeing myself without pants. Hahaha, my tummy and…

Not much of a loss, but it's something. WARNING!
I was never really heavy before I had my kids, but I gained 55lbs with my son (who is now 5). I was 165 when I got pregnant with him, but I was fit and I looked good. At 9 months pregnant, I was 220. I lost 12lbs before I got pregnant again with my daughter (who is now 3). I gained 12lbs with her so I broke 'even'. Having…

NSV - Scottish Dancing
Was feeling a bit down today, so I was glad I made the effort to go to my usual Scottish dancing class - dancing always makes me feel good. First, I wore my HRM, which almost unbelievably tells me that 2 hours of dancing burned over 800 calories! Wow! Secondly, a friend who'd been ill for a while, and therefore who hasn't…

Ran across a "before" pic I hadn't seen in a long time!
Found a really awful "before" pic of my last night. Yikes! Even my husband gasped when he saw it. He said he knew I lost some weight but was shocked when he realized how much. On MFP it says I lost 21 lbs, but I was losing before I started tracking, I've lost a total of 40lbs. and counting :) I really need a better "after"…

Lightest weight running (a pretty big SV)
Passed through a couple of my mini-goals this week. 262 was where I took pictures so when I run my first marathon I can say "I went from 262 to 26.2" 261 was the lightest weight I've ever been running (back in 2008) before I stopped running and ballooned in weight. Now I'm 259. This means that I am doing less and less…

First REAL NSV!
Christmas 09, my FMIL (future mother-in-law) got me a pair of jeans for Xmas, but didn't know my size so she guessed. She ended up getting me a size 9/10 Aeropostal (sp?) jean. I was a size 3 :grumble: pre-pregnancy and I've been a tight fit in a size 12 since I gave birth to my daughter in August 09. I'm a SAHM so 99% of…

90 days on MFP!!!
As of today, I've been using MyFitnessPal for 90 days and have lost 33 pounds!!! :drinker: Out of the dozen of things I've tried to get this weight off, MFP is the only one that has worked for me! I've been yo-yo dieting since I was a kid and the most I've lost was 10 pounds, but then I'd gain it back! When this year of…

So I started doing this on Monday, only 4 days I know but already I've noticed a couple of things. - Firstly, I've already lost a pound! - Secondly, I'm sticking to around 1300 calories a day and am never going hungry! In fact I feel fuller for longer and haven't snacked after dinner since I've started! The big thing for…

Warning: WHINING lol I recently bought a pair of pants at size 11 =) I was a 15..sometimes 17 before that.. Buuuutt now they're getting kinda baggy.. Idk if that means I've lost more weight or if they've just stretched out from wearing them so much (since theyre the only pants that fit me..or did fit me..so I wore them a…

NSV...LOL
I have to laugh as I post this, but I had to take the extender link out of my watch today as it's sliding up and down my arm. Even with the extender gone, it's still loose. Maybe it's time for a new watch? Or this is the excuse to finally invest in a HRM!?!? :D

First NSVs!
I finally had some noticeable NSVs this morning. I weighed in, and MFP asked me if I wanted to adjust my stats since I lost weight. Also, had to wear a belt with my work pants to keep them from falling off. Sometimes it's hard to see the day to day changes going on with your body, but sometimes things click and make the…

Soooooooooo excited; I just went from 'obese' to 'overweight' on the Wii Fit. I did not know being overweight could feel so good =)

Yay to me!!
So i went to Zumba tonight expecting the usual crowd, but then walks in these two teeny tiny women whom I find out (after their frivalous flaunting) that one is a model and one is a cardinals cheerleader... they're totally eyeing me up and I can see there eyes saying "if a fat girl can do, then so can I". Well you know…

Third of the way there! (Pics)
Have to say, whenever things feel tough it's always a great boost to look through these forums. I'm down 15lbs from my target of 45lbs(ish), so thought I'd take the plunge and post up a few progress pictures (and a target picture) This was me at Christmas 2010 (216lbs), belly overhanging my jeans and shirt buttons being…

NO MORE PITY PARTY!!!!
I've spent the last couple of days focusing on my flaws - the stretch marks, the little bit of my thighs that still touch in the middle, and the love handles. Nevermind the fact that you can see my ribs or that I have obvious muscle definition in my arms and legs, or that my collarbones are fairly prominent, or that I…

5+ Years of Back Pain....
......is now gone!!! ever since I injured myself playing rugby in my early teens I have had some kind of back pain, got worse as the lbs piled on, almost like a stabbing pain in my lower back if I put pressure on it! Well just over 4 months of hard work with counting calories, exercising and weight training have…
