Bye Bye 100 pounds!!
My journey started on October 20, 2008. I started at 330.8 lbs. At first I just changed my eating habits, I didn't start exercising until May 2009, and lost 25 lbs. Once I realized that no more weight was coming off, I started with Jillian Michael's 30 day shred for about 3 days (haha). I could hardly move so I rested for…

A Noticeable Difference
So today was the first day that someone other than my Mom and my husband noticed that I've lost weight. I work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week. Having said that, I sometimes don't see people I work with for a couple of weeks or longer. Two of the people I work with asked today if I was losing weight. I tried to blow it off…

My first timed 5k!
Hello! I just finished the Dallas Komen Race for the Cure. It was my first timed 5k. First of all, I am NOT a fast runner. I set 2 personal goals for myself: 1.) to JOG the whole thing, non-stop, without any walking intervals and 2.) to finish in less than 35 minutes (a nice, slightly less than 12 minute mile pace). And I…

Minor win
Ok, first off: Hi everyone, never introduced myself despite being an active member of the site for a couple of months now. I've had some good results since I joined the site, I've lost 32lbs in 8 weeks but today I have something I need to celebrate. I finished university knowing that a train that would get me home would be…

65lbs lost - Halfway There - One Year Later
So, November 3rd will be my One Year on MFP Mark. I have by no means been extremely focused on weightloss, as my grad school and two jobs kind of take over most of my time, and I'm also not against saying that fun is more important every once in a while. Therefore, I know 65lbs in a year is not extreme, but it's amazing to…

50+ Pounds in a Year!
I was thinking about it today and realized that this time last year I weighed 300lbs after giving birth and that I weighed in at 245lbs this morning. I also realized yesterday that the pants I bought maybe a month ago are starting to fall off of me and I swear my rings are going to start making a break for it any day now,…

With success brings confusion
I've lost another 3 pounds this week, which should feel amazing right? Well, it does but I'm not sure how else I feel about it. I haven't really noticed anything looking smaller so I guess I'm just wondering whether or not I really have lost that much.

Birthday Before and After Pictures - +2 Years and -60 Pounds
My worst picture that I've really ever found of me from "Before" was taken on my 22nd birthday, right in the middle of senior year of college when I most definitely was not watching what I ate or really getting any exercise besides walking to class and around campus. Flash forward to my 24th birthday, which is tomorrow,…

No longer lying...
The last time I filled out the form for my driver's license, I lied about my weight. It wasn't much of a lie at the time, maybe 20 pounds or so. Over time, I gained weight and it became more and more of a lie. I looked at my license today, and realized that for the past week or two, it really wasn't a lie. Now I'm lying in…

Half Way there! (62lbs down - pics included)
Hi everyone, NB: You Have to go to the site because it won't show all three pics otherwise, sorry! I've reached my half way goal so I thought I would post some progress pictures. I've found it difficult to tell in myself the difference, but when I look at the photos it's more of a change than I thought. I have a goal of…

Almost at my "goal weight"
I am flirting with my goal weight. Never 100% sure if my scale is accurate or not. It reads between 135-138. It seems to depend upon which way I lean! If any of you have reached your goal weight, tell me, please, how you knew you were there? I know I am very close, but don't feel that I am truly at my "happy weight." MY…

Jean Shopping
Well my Husband has been telling me I need new jeans for a while now, since i've been losing weight and all. I have been putting it off because I HATE shopping. For one, I have three kids, that should be enough said right there, but I really have no interest in shopping for clothes because I hate trying on clothes knowing…

First taste of success!!
So I've been on MFP for almost a month & have been consistent w/ about 2lb per week weight loss. My husband says that he can see a difference :) Even though I feel slimmer, I didn't notice a difference in the mirror, but then I started to notice a difference in how my jeans feel. Before I started, my jeans were tight when…

First goal reached!!!
Hello everyone! This week I was a little discouraged because I hadn't been losing much weight, but this morning I decided to try on my skinny jeans (that were about 2 sizes too small) and they actually fit!!! I was so happy! The last time I wore them was October 2008 and then over the holidays I gained a lot of weight and…

Almost not obese!
It's funny to me how excited I am to just be overweight, but honestly, to see that little triangle not be on the obese side anymore is so great! I've got 1.9 pounds to go before I'm "just" overweight.

My First Week
After 1 week of eating healthy, watching my sodium, drinking my water, and exercising daily, I've lost 9.5lbs!!! I'm pretty sure 99% of it was water I was retaining, but nonetheless, wanted to share!!

treadmill joy!
I have been starting my warm ups at the gym on the treadmill. I do 10 minutes and I walk for the first two, then go up a hill (number 7) for the next one, then back down and try and run full pelt for the next 30 seconds then back to the beginning. Today I managed to run at 13.9km/hour for the full 30 seconds, and when I go…
