Hello, I’m New
I’m excited to start my journey with these new tools to empower myself. I’m one of those “over 40” that seems to have more trouble shedding pounds than I used to. As a new empty nester, I’m looking to take better care of myself and feel better in my own skin. Love reading these success stories to keep my motivation up!!!

Wore shorts out for the first time.
Before this, I never used to wear shorts out... like EVER, because i was always so self conscious about my legs and the cellulite. Now that I’ve slowly incorporated more strength training workouts especially for my legs, I feel better about how they look. 😊

I guess I can make it official...
I'm not one to brag about myself, but I guess this is the place to do it, right? So here's my story, and hopefully it can inspire some... I started my journey with MFP way back in 2012, about 9 months after the birth of my 2nd child. I actually started because I joined a "weight loss challenge" through our local park…

Skinny fat body recomposition
Hi everyone I'd like to hear of some of your success stories regarding if you are skinny fat like me. How you got along with the body recomposition route. How long did it take you to see some results in the mid section and chest areas for example? Your favourite exercises or routines. I'd love to know to see how it…

Legs are smaller!
Initial measurements: Right thigh = 75.5cm Left thigh = 74cm Current measurements: Right thigh = 72cm Left thigh = 70cm Took me a super long time to achieve this but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t proud of myself. 😄

Don't know if I'm a success story yet or not but......
My stats show me down 39 lbs in 175 days of logging. The reality is that I've lost about 48 pounds as before I started logging at MFP I was using some other calorie tracker program. I really liked the food database and tools here best. I was one of those guys who wouldn't get on the scale because I just didn't want to…

200 days
I started this journey 31 weeks ago using fit bit. I was logging my food there for a couple weeks, but their data base of food didn’t have a food I'd eaten. I typed in this food on a search and mfp came up. I’ve been here for 200 days. In 31 weeks I’ve lost 46.4 lbs or 1.49 lbs a week. My goal was set for lose 1 1/2 lbs a…

Today is the Day!
This morning I weighed in at exactly 210 pounds. This was after rehydrating, so I feel confident this is a real number. Please understand, when I put that goal into MFP I did it as a joke. I didn't believe losing 40 pounds was possible. Not for me. I knew I would find excuses to give up like I always had. And I did...but…

First "Milestone"
On 7th July 2020 I stepped on the scales and was horrified to see the display showing 353 lbs (25st 3lbs). I had no idea that I had put on so much weight. That was it, the moment I decided that my self neglect had gone far enough! The next day I reset my old MFP account to the current situation and determined to make the…

Did you lose anything besides weight?
Many people talk about what they’ve gained on their health journey and their loss of pounds/kg/stones. Have you lost anything along the way? I’ve lost about 38 chins!

Nice waking everyday to the 100's!
After starting at 272.4 to now waiting everyday to a scale that reads in the 100's! 193 with a goal of 180 so pretty close. Taking my time on that last 10-13 pounds but it's so nice to see 100 something on the scale in the morning.

Overcoming trauma, obesity and eating disorders
I started gaining weight when I started being abused at the age of 7 and by the time I was 15 I was 93 kilos (205 pounds). My mother gave me a calorie counter and I went on a 1200 calorie diet. I quickly lost 40 kilos (88 pounds) and kept it off but not healthily...I would restrict my food, then binge eat, then exercise…

14lbs Lost Over Multiple Years
I've finally lost 14lbs. I have no idea how it happened, but it did. I haven't been online here to track in so long, and now I find that I've lost more weight. I guess Pokemon Go really helped(as that's what I'm doing to track my steps nowadays). But yea. I've been eating pretty much what I want and have been working on…
