30lbs down in 4 months!
Hey Fitfam! Just wanted to share some of my progress with you! I started this journey back at the end of may at 205 lbs. I was drinking alcohol every night and gorging myself and it showed. I had gained 45 lbs in 6 months! I stopped drinking alcohol completely on May 22nd and started eating better (doing lazy keto) and got…

Week 17 Complete - 70.2 lbs down
I joined MFP awhile back, but have to admit I've mostly just been keeping track of things in Excel. I haven't really been tracking calories, but came up with a list of foods I could have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then gave away or threw out everything else and have just been sticking to those meals. My exercise has…

It has taken me 10 years
It took me almost 10 years but I have lost close to 100 pounds. Seven pounds to go. I tried every diet known to man and spent a lot of money, but I always gained it back. My fitness pal has always been consistent and I do my best by keeping it simple. my thought for today. The only person you are destined to become is the…

(Almost) Walked through my shoes this summer!
Since June 1st I’ve walked 677.9 miles, closed 99.97% (487 of 488) of my Apple Watch rings, dropped 29.5 pounds and worn out a pair of tennis shoes. I’ve still got a bit more to go (somewhere between 6-16 pounds) but I’m feeling so much better!

Had to punch a new hole in my belt
Just a little background: I was never all that overweight (honestly, when I read some of the stories on here about people losing sometimes hundreds of pounds, I'm always humbled by it.) However, I've carried probably at least 20 libs too much for most of my life, and this past summer, I decided to do something about it. I…

BEFORE and AFTER photos!
I’ve dealt with addiction problems my whole life since I was 14. On May 11th if this year, I kicked those habits and began a new, more fulfilling journey. Since then I have started to eat healthy, counting macros and watching sodium and sugars. I have increased exercise, lost 27lbs of body fat, and have never felt better…

Transformation
I just wanted to pop on here and share my success story! I've been using my fitness pal for years tracking macros. Last year I competed in a Mens Physique bodybuilding competition. Here are my before and after shots. The process all came down to tracking macros accurately using my fitness pal. I ate ice cream EVERYDAY of…

Almost four years of strength training and attention to diet
On the left: 25% body fat and a 38 inch waist. On the right: 15% body fat and a 33 inch waist. Not quite where I want to be yet but I didn't think I'd ever be able to fit into size 32 pants again.

Herniated C5 C6
I Have been going to therapy for two weeks. I also am working with a trainer in the pool once a week along with me working every day on stretching movements. This has helped enormously. Treatment consists of facia drainage and ulnar and radial rotation exercises. Recommended 30 minutes on bike. Pain levels have been down…

Before & After Photos - 110 pounds down
All my life I was overweight. Looking at pictures, from the time I was 3 years old I was heavy. I was a giver. I gave of myself to others thinking I was doing the right thing, but I was letting my own health fall to the wayside. I would go on diets, often losing 40-50 lbs, but eventually I would get frustrated and quit and…

A small victory- 0lbs lost on more calories, but muscle gained
Weighed in today, end of week 4 out of a 20 week program. My weight is the same as when I started. Most people would see this as failure or disappointment. It's not. My first phase is a reverse diet phase that includes weight training and moderate cardio (4 days a week for 30 min) I'm consuming on average 600 calories more…

My health and family
I want to lose this weight because of my beautiful kids that are grown but this is for my grandkids as well. I am not in the best of health at this time but I think this would help my health dramatically and raise my self esteem. I have been a survivor of domestic abuse and this will help me stand strong and show myself…

When I started this journey in January I was almost 200lbs! That’s a lot of weight for a 5’7 female! I am proud to say I am now 155lbs! I’d love to lose another 20lbs, but so far I am feeling so much healthier and happier! when I was bigger:

455 to 312 and Going Strong!
So 9 months ago my Wife asked me for a Divorce. I hit bottom. For 2 weeks I did not sleep...And at the end of it, decided my life had to change. Everything I had been taught over the years snapped into my brain, and I started. I food journaled, weight & measured my portions and walked through a cold snow filled winter. 9…

65 lb down
When I was first getting started, I spent every day scrolling the success stories of MFP. I was excited for the day that I'd reach my goal and be able to post. That day still hasn't come, but hey, I still consider myself an in-progress success story. 65 lb down today, and that's including the 50 lb I lost 3 years ago and…

Lost 22.5kg in 22.5 weeks
Hi all - just a little progress update: On Sunday 19 April, I weighed in at 133.4kg and set my goal in MFP to lose 1.0kg a week. Here we are 22.5 weeks later and, after several frustrating plateaus and seemingly random drops, I’m 22.5kg lighter. I’m also at my lowest weight since I started keeping track in 2005. I’ve been…

Finally doing it!
My weight has been kind of a mess all my life, constantly up and down (more up than down) but a few months ago I decided to seriously take care of myself. Got back on MFP about three months ago and I'm currently down 29 lbs from my starting weight. Currently at 241, hoping to get down to 200 by early next year.

What nobody tells you about maintaining weight
This is meant to be a total rip-off and, ideally, the continuation of the "What nobody tells you about losing weight" thread in this sub-forum (created by @lemonsurprise). Can you find threads about recomp, diet breaks, and other maintenance techniques? Absolutely. This thread will hopefully grow into a one-stop-shop for…

Out of the 220s again, finally!
15 years ago I lost 50 lb and held steady at around 215 all these years. Over the last two years due to quite a bit of stress, I put 15 of those pounds back on. I've been at 230 for the last several months. I finally started tracking my food and doing what I know I need to do. I have finally broken 230 and 220 barrier and…

I’M BACK ! : LOST, RE-GAINED (50%) and LOST it - Thank goodness
Started Nov 2013 at 405 pounds! Utilizing the MyFitnessPal app, along with exercise and healthy foods, I was able to hit 214 lbs by 2/2015 and swore I would NEVER go near 400 lbs again…and I DIDN’T. I gave away all my “fat” clothes and kept the promise to myself of put Feb 2015. My reward was a pre-planned “quality”…
