Flax seed and Flaxseed oil capsules together?
I take flax seed oil capsules for dry eyes and anxiety (dr and eye dr suggested it.) I'm increasing my protein but I'm concerned about the effects and thought maybe using ground flaxseed would help counteract that because of the fiber in it. So I'm wondering if that makes sense, and if it's a good or bad idea to use both…

Advice on Calories, please!
I'm VERY new to MFP, but I'm already noticing a pattern w/ my eating: I'll eat things that are low in calories, but high (I guess?) in sugar or protein. For instance, after I work out today, I'll have to eat 771 calories for dinner with only 6g of protein and 3g of sugar remaining! What can I start eating to avoid this…

Chris Powell 7-Day Carb Cycle Solution
Just wondering for those of you who do this, what a typical day looks like for high carb, and then for low carb. I did it for about a month over the summer with great results, but then I seemed to slip off it. I think the "cheat day" is what threw me over the edge. Do you stick to the plan all week without a cheat day? Or…

Any other Diet Coke / Pepsi addicts here?
Have you continued to drink or cut down and still lost weight? As for me, I am currently down about 10lbs and drink about 5 cans a day (1 per meal and 2 at night). Sodexo poster at the cafeteria
I went to the 'company' cafeteria today and saw a poster there saying something about eating healthy... it had a picture of a mobile phone and the headline had the MFP tri-blue logo. I never knew MFP and Sodexo had teamed up... it was cool to see that logo out in the wild. The cafeteria is actually good about posting…

question about sugars in milk
So I always read that fat free or low fat milk has more sugar than full fat because they add it to compensate for the taste? Or something like that? So I checked all the milks at my work fridge and this is what I found (based on Lucerne milk, Safeway brand.) Sugar grams (per cup) Fat Free: 12 grams 1 percent: 15 grams 2…

Upping calories
I know this topic has been talked to death but I need a little guidance and reassurance that I am correctly estimating my calorie goal. A little background...I am 31 years old, 5'4" and 195lbs. High calorie/protein diets
Hi everyone! I am struggling to reach my goals a day. I have P90X2 and they recommend being on a 50% protein and 25% each for carbs and fat at 2400 calories. This is their "fat shredding" plan to get ripped. It has been really hard for me to get close to calories or half of the protein they want without me going over on…

Exercising & calories
Earning extra calories from exercising.. Would my body go into starvation mode if I ignored those calories, and didn't make up for them? My goal is 1400 a day. If I reach that, but burn 400 exercising, would I need to eat 400 more calories?

Good fat vs. bad fat
Just posting a general question here...I always thought that the "good fats" were monounsaturated and polyunsaturated and the "bad" fat was saturated and trans fat. I don't know if it's just my settings but the total grams of sat fat I have is 32, polyunsat is 1, and monounsat is 2. How come myfitnesspal is allowing me 32…

Protein After Running?
I'm looking to lose 25 lbs that I gained in the past 10 months, and I've been really struggling. I don't eat red meat, grains, or dairy or any processed foods. I always have a ton of protein in the morning after I run (typically 7.5 miles) and I'm wondering if I might be hindering my progress by doing that? I know it's…
