Plant Based diet and counting calories?
If you've read any of the books by McDougall or Fuhrman... or "Engine 2 Diet" they say not to count calories. But I can't eat that much salad. I can eat SOME salad but not that much or I'll go crazy. I like to make soups, stir fries and smoothies. I like carbs AND greens and beans. I avoid highly processed foods like soy…

I Have To Say, Feel Like I'm Eating To Much...
Good Evening, I have to say, since I got my Fitbit a week ago, I've been following it closely, and I think I'm doing okay...but wow, I really feel like I'm eating to much. I feel full, ALL THE TIME. I am getting about 1350 or so calories per day, plus whatever I "earn" from the Fitbit in exercise (typically 500-700 per…

Taking a "break"?
Do any of you guys take breaks from tracking calories periodically, like lets say after a month of consistent tracking you start to see your weight loss coming to a halt. Do you ever just say "alright this next week or two I'll just eat freely and not track" and then go back on your plan after that? I feel like…

Low Carb/Sugar Fruit
What fruits are better for you? I brought an apple this morning to work for a snack and when I logged it, it was like 30+carbs and like 11g sugar so I havent eaten it yet. Because of that apple, I would be over in carbs and sugar for the day. Are there any fruits that you know of that are better than others in regards to…

How bad is it to eat under 1200 calories?
As someone recovered yet still struggling with disordered eating, I find it hard to eat when I'm actively trying to lose weight. I try to get to my goal of 1200 calories a day, but I really, really, really do not want to go over it, which leaves me under a lot of the time. However, since I'm not heavily restricting (I used…
