What Carbs DO You Eat? / Bread Head's Lament
What carbs DO you eat? I comprehend bread = bad (though I don't fully comprehend why, other than the fact I often feel bloated afterward, its consumption can impede or seem even to reverse weight loss, and numerous studies show the body easily converts bread to sugar ― its high glycemic index triggers fat storage,…

New Pre/Post Work-out Drink Additives Wanted
Hi all, I like to drink a soy protein drink before I go to the gym to lift wights, and before I ride my bicycle... There appear to be at least a million supplements, and extracts and vitamin drops and amino acid blends, ad infinitum, so I'd like some ideas from those of you who strength train and do running or cycling.…

What to eat/drink after exercise
So apparently it is very important to recover from exercise by eating or drinking something that has lots of proteins (Or something like that >.<). Well I've been doing insanity for a week now and my problem is that I do it late in the afternoon since I don't really have time to do it earlier. By then I have already eaten…

Calorie consumption when strength training
I'm a female aged 21 and I've been a member of MFP since last November. I'm 5' 2 and a half and have lost some weight by changing aspects of my diet. In the last year I've been doing Zumba and playing badminton but not as often as I could've. I tried the whole 1200 calorie thing and it just resulted in me feeling run down…

I love to golf but can never get through an 18 hole game without having to eat something. It's difficult to find finger foods that are not messy with low calories to munch along the way.
