Diet plan
so i'm looking for a good diet plan to help me reach my goal of about 20 lbs. I've lost a lot of weight by counting calories and working out. But after a few years of doing this, things have got a bit stale. i continue to work out daily, and ride as often as I can (2-3 days a week). But my diet was turned a bit. I don't…

Help with a Stall or Plateau…
I need some help…. I’m into my 30th week of eating healthy, working out consistently and improving my habits. But I’m either in a stall or a plateau - at least I think I am. I weigh myself every Sunday morning before my morning workout. Over these 30 weeks I’ve gone from 383 down to 285.9 this morning. But over the last…

Poopy talk! (Obviously this will be a TMI post)
Disclaimer: I've been to urgent care and my oral surgeon (who has opinions whenever I'm not feeling well) and I know there aren't many doctors around here (but we have nurses!) and I don't mind internet randos giving advice because how else are you going to find others in the same predicament you're in? And I have…

What socioeconomic class do your food choices resemble?
A fun online quiz. What socioeconomic class do your food choices resemble? Mine resemble food choices of the upper middle class according to this. I have never been in any socioeconomic class higher than lower middle class. But I had college educated (but very poor) parents who encouraged adventurous eating, so that…

Android app update turned remaining calories numbers from green to black!
And it messed me all up! Was this part of an "upgrade"? I didn't change any settings, and then started messing with goals before I realized THAT's what changed! ARgh!

How to overcome comfort eating?
I can do a great job planning what I will eat and recording it ... my downfall is comfort eating. I have a bad habit of eating when I'm bored or feeling a little sluggish or need a pick-me-up. It's usually in the afternoon between 1pm and 4pm. And when I do, I don't care about whether I'm going over my calorie goal. I find…

Eating based on daily needs or by weekly average?
Hello everyone! Sorry if the title is confusing, but I’m wondering if it’s better to determine caloric needs based on a daily basis or weekly then divided by 7? Currently, I eat based on how much energy I need on a daily basis. I’m 6’2” and 190 pounds, so I eat about 2,250 calories on days I’m sedentary and 3,000 on days I…

Calorie Deficit - Not Eating Enough? - Advice - Help?
Hey all, I've been on MFP for a a few years now on and off. At my thinnest (years ago in high school) I was 150-ish. I got there by barely eating/fasting/starving - (not a healthy way to do it I know but I was 16 and hated myself so what's a teenager to do). I'm currently 25 years old, 6' 0" (female) and weigh in at 193…

Ladies - weight and pants size?
I know that dress size has as much to do with body type and height as it does weight, but I am just curious how your dress size has correlated to your weight loss? I am down around 25 lbs and needed to go pants shopping today because my size 20s were literally falling off me. (started at 258) I have a pair of 18s at home…

Brand new, here!
Hello, hey! I’m so happy to be here. It’s time for me to start taking control of my life. I’m extremely obese, in pain and depressed because of it. I remember one day, on a question that Steve Harvey asked, on Family Feud: “What is easy to put on and hard to take off?” Whew, when someone said “weight”; I hollered at the…

Weight loss slower when lifting weight?
I’ve always lost weight when I set my calories to 1800/day, usually 10 lbs a month. I’m very tall and 20lbs overweight, so this has been a good point for me. So far this month I’ve eaten an average of 1850 calories a day and have exercised daily (peloton rides for 30-45 minutes, long hikes, weight lifting, yoga, barre,…

Have any obese people been sedated at the dentist?
I am significantly obese at around 350 lbs and will be getting all my wisdom teeth removed under deep sedation in a couple weeks. Losing weight versus building muscle?
For the first time in my life, I'm feeling overweight based on how my clothes fit but the scale says I'm actually near my usual low/target weight. I'm assuming this means that I have lost a lot of muscle since I permanently switched to remote work after COVID began. But this is new to me, so I don't know what to do with a…

I lost even more weight organically between Jan and June. Unfortunately, starting in July 2021 my mood dropped severely and I began eating very badly (I mean literally pizza and…

Accidentally fell and broke myself
A couple of months ago, I realised I had gotten pretty far off track from where I wanted to be. I have been "close enough" to goal for a long time that I wasn't paying much attention, but the slow creep was happening and I realised I had gained 3kg from a couple of months earlier and not even noticed. I decided to get…

Weight loss and meds that make you hungry
How to do control the hunger some medications can cause? The only one medication that helps my crippling anxiety is the one that makes me hungry all the time. I gained 65 lbs on this med and got off it and my anxiety almost ruined my life. So now I’m back on it and I’m just above 200 lbs at 5’3”, so not fun. Any ideas on…
