Lost it all and then some by the time I was 6 months postpartum (lowest was 124 but normally hovered between 125-126). I’m happy I was able to lose all the…

Is it normal to be so tired from walking?
I'm a 30yo woman, 5'3 (or a hair under) and in the high 110s/low 120s depending on the day. Because of the lockdown all public transport has been shut down for close to a month now so I've been walking about to/from work... this means on average about 2h of walking per day... I log the activity (or part of it anyway), I'm…

Diagnosed with Fatty Liver-and I don’t drink!
I’ve always said “I’m the healthiest fat person you’ve met” but that’s not true anymore. I’ve had a pretty complete med work up recently. Pre diabetic, high cholesterol and now a fatty liver! Has anyone else been diagnosed with a fatty liver? It was found on a CT Scan. Looks like I’m back on my health journey.

Not losing weight in a deficit
I'm 53 years old and weigh 87kgs. I excersise 5 days a week, around 60 minutes weight/compound (includes rest time between sets) followed by 30 minutes of cardio. I am in a caloric deficit of 1300, that I consume on my non gym days, but when training I consume burnt calories. So for eg my 1300 base, then add say 550 burnt…

Christmas called in the UK
Shout out to everyone else in the UK coping with the crappy news from yesterday. Not disagreeing with the seriousness of the situation, but the government should not have promised Christmas time and again then changed their mind at this short notice. Would have been better to tell us all they would make a decision nearer…

Digital scale says I lost 24 pounds in 2 days
So granted, I've eaten way less than I should have but this seems impossible. But I weighed myself multiple times in a row each day and it was consistent between those and it seems strange that over the course of two days, the scale would remain consistent on each day but report massive weight loss between days. If…

Seriously?!?
Long story short: obese, 5'4, started on a 1400 calories diet (counted strictly) 8 days ago. Light exercise 45 minutes per day (swimm, walking, light weight lifting) and not eating those calories back, sleeping well, etc. So, doing everything I should be doing. Background: binge eating, overeating. Weight 8 days ago:232.…

neck pain when squatting
Hello everyone! I am slowly upping my barbell weight which is super exciting BUT I do not have a squat rack so I have to lift from the ground and strained my neck pretty badly when doing it. I watched a video that I can clean into a squat, but I'm a bit nervous to do that because I haven't yet learned...any types?

Anyone here a health coach?
This is something I've considered for quite some time. I'm not sure how marketable/usable it would be and where are some, good reputable online schools to become a health coach (and what credentials I need to be marketable). I already have a master's (and am still paying off student loans), but I work in healthcare…

Motivation
I've seen many people saying they need motivation to lose weight and/or exercise. IMO, for something to be motivating it has to have a powerful "why" much more powerful than fitting in a smaller pair of pants. This video IMO shows a strong why: https://youtu.be/REcZopXwOXo Note: May produce tears

Caloric deficit question
I weigh 70kg and my daily maintenance calorie is 1800. Currently I start to walk to burn about 300 calories daily so technically I am in a daily caloric deficit of 300 calories and in 30 days about 9000 calories and I will be burning off about 2lbs and in one year about 24lbs. Question: If I continue walking will I still…

1200 or less?! Losing weight for a very small person
Hi community, I am hoping to pick your brains on something. I want to lose weight (not a lot, maybe 5 kg). My normal BMR is 1350 calories a day in order to maintain my weight. MFP have calculated that I should consume 1200 a day in order to meet my weight loss goal. A calorie deficit of 150 surely is not going to help with…

What should I ask Santa for?
I'm looking for ideas on what I should ask my husband to get me for Christmas. I'm much more into weights than cardio so I have the following already -…

Eating Meat after 17 Years of being Vegetarian to Build Muscle - Good Decision?
Hey guys! I've been vegetarian for 17 years and usually pretty fit for the most part. After tracking my protein intake for the past 2 weeks, I've realized it's hard to meet my protein requirement without eating tubs of greek yogurt, so much egg/egg whites, and putting protein powder in everything. (Okay I'm exaggerating,…

Bone broth question...

Low protein macros
Hey everyone, Since turning veggie back in March, I've been finding it hard to get a good level of protein in without using a load of protein powder. Today I changed my macros to 45c/25p/30f from 40c/30p/30f. Hoping this won't affect any weight loss. I was then wondering if macros play a huge role or whether I should…
