Is it possible to be a size 2 at 5"8
I used to be 5"8 and 151 pounds and I wore a size 10 in jeans. Due to medication related weight gain, I'm now 5"8 and about 220 pounds wearing a size 14-16 in jeans. Once and for all, I really want to get down to a smaller size. How would I become a size 2 at 5"8?

Beating sugar?
I was a 1-2 glass of wine per evening person for many years, until I finally dealt with the reality that that wasn't healthy. I am now down to 4-6 drinks per week, which is not perfect, but much better. Part of why I was drinking was to deal with stress. In order to cope with losing that crutch, I allowed myself to turn to…

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any idea why this happened? I’m 61, and I do water aerobics and some weight lifting. Still want to lose…

Vibrating pill may give dieters a feeling of fullness.
"The pill is the brainchild of a team of researchers from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is a small capsule that contains a motor and a battery. The motor is activated by a gel plug that dissolves in the stomach fluid. Once the motor starts spinning, the pill vibrates for about 38 minutes,…

Inital weight loss: assume it is all water?
Hi I have been eating pretty badly recently so on Sunday I modified my diet and am starting to exercise. One of the things I changed was from toast for breakfast to porridge, and cut out snacking of bread rolls etc. And I put myself on a calorie count that aims to lose 0.25kg a week. Anyone try the weight loss "betting" sites like healthy wage or others?
I was curious if anyone has tried, and what their experience has been with, the sites that let you bet on a weight loss goal. From what I've been able to gather, you win the bet if you lose 4% of your weight in a month. They also let you set a long term goal and if you meet that, you can make a lot more depending on goal…

Easy vs. Difficult

Hi! I’m on a 1400 calorie a day plan to lose 1.5 lbs a week. I swam laps for 35 minutes today, and I am going to play basketball tonight which burns about 700 calories according to my Fitbit. Should I eat something extra? Or just enjoy the bigger calorie deficit?
