Also, could I eat anything and keep it under that calorie number? For example, in the morning I have a banana/egg shake, lunch = a top ramen soup and…

Struggling
I have always struggled with my weight as long as I can remember. Am now 45 and 270 pounds. Highest ever was 310 and was down around 240 a year or so ago. However, to get to 240, I had to eat no more than 1100 calories. Knowing that was not enough I set off on trying to figure out what I should be eating. Had metabolic…

Last supper eating averted!
I just wanted to share a wee moment of triumph I had there. I have resolved to start my diet again tomorrow after falling off of the wagon (and under the wheels) over the Christmas and New Year's period. Normally what happens when I say I am going to start a new diet I binge the day before, kind of like a final farewell to…

CHANGING CALORIES
Hello Everyone, Is there anyway to manually change your calories? I usually lose weight when I consume 1,400 to 1,450 calories a day but when I put in my weight I either get 1,580 to lose 1.5 pounds a week or 1,300 to lose 2 pounds a week. 1,300 seems a little low to me. Any ideas? Thank you! Mary Ann

Confessions of a fat girl #1
Day 4-*ding* here's an idea why not take the foods that you are already eating and find ways to reduce the calories with in them? Seem reasonable right? I sound sarcastic because I am bit astounded that it took me 3 whole days to figure this out. Here is a brief description of my learning curve, for those who are just…

Does my calorie goal sound right?
I'm a 23 year old female, 5"3 and weigh 158 pounds. I want to get to 138 pounds and set my goal loss at 1 pound per week. MFP has set an calorie intake goal of 1470 with my lightly active lifestyle. Does that sound correct? Previously I've worked with 1200 calories and I'm a bit nervous about increasing!
