Ladies... has anyone had a baby since they lost weight and come back down to goal?
So this is probably ridiculous, I mean CICO works, so obviously it can be done. But I've been worrying (probably needlessly) what am I gonna do when Hubby and I have another baby. We want 2-3 and I've never tried to lose weight before now and I'm doing well, but what do you do if you get pregnant. What do you do while…

Maintenance began today
Yesterday, I think exactly 6 months from when I started, I reached my goal weight of 125 from 147.4. So today, I start maintenance. Here's my plan: Keep doing what I was doing for the last 6 months. I found that my calorie budget of 1500 wasn't a starvation diet. It works just fine for me most days. So I may lose more…

Recognizing Maintenance Weight: Body Signals?
Before I say anything further: I'm not assuming there's any magic formula or trick to any of this, I'm just asking out of curiosity. I'm getting very close to maintenance (as determined by original GW, current feeling/appearance, ideal bodyweight calculators, etc.). I'm at 131.5 pounds, and figure maintenance weight (or…

Adding target weight range
Hey there. Just wondering if it was possible to use a target weight range as opposed to a specific weight. I'd like to not have a drastic reduction in calories if I'm only 1/2 a pound under my target weight.

Do you feel weird....
saying "I don't have any weight to lose?" I've been maintaining for 20 years, and I still feel like I should be trying to lose weight.

eating back
I hope I not confusion you, I am starting to up my calories every week at 1500 now. Do you eat back you calories if you burn your calories

Weight only going up. I be puzzled!
Hello guys and girls, I'm rather new here so here's a short introduction. I'm a very short guy (155cm) and feel best at around 48kg. Two weeks ago I reached this weight, so I upped my calories to maintenance. In two weeks, during the week, I ate about 200 calories below maintenance and then on a saturday I eat around 3000.…

Is this a binge ?
I've managed to stay in my calorie maintenance even with what I think is a binge. I had less than 1200 cal before my dessert then I had a slice of pie roughly 250-300 cal then I went back to the pie box and cut two slithers more then I ate a yogurt. Will I still gain weight because I read if u eat unhealthy everyday you…

Trying to eat enough
Last year I was trying to lose weight and I had a hard time trying not to over-eat. Now I have the opposite problem. I have been very busy lately, sometimes too busy to eat as much as I should and I'm always tired and nauseated because of it. I try to stuff myself with food when I can but it's not enough. I recently…

Worried...
I've been 'maintaining' for a month or so now - that is, I've hit goal weight, but I keep losing because I get anxious about eating 'too much' now. Even though logically I know it's fine, I've lost another four or so pounds since hitting goal weight and I still get antsy about eating more than 1,000-1,200 a day (what I was…

calories

Finding your true maintenance
Not sure what's going on but I get one pound from my goal and then I increase my calories 2 maybe 3 days that week and remain exercising but I end up gaining weight again and have to drop calories again and it's getting soooo annoying. I don't even eat close to my recommend maintence. I'm so tired of cutting and counting…

Went down hill since Maintenance
I can not believe this! I have been tracking for 3 years, lost my weight and started getting my head into maintenance. Thought "okay I can do this" for maybe a week. I can not stop binge eating now! This is crazy...I am so pissed at myself. I have not gained any weight, because I am still watching the scale, but...I do not…

Intermittent indulging
So we have all heard of intermittent fasting but I wonder if you can do the opposite indulge a few times a week and cut the rest maybe and maintain your weight. I say this because some days I go over but others I go under. Has anyone had any experience with this

5'5 150, anyone maintaining? how many calories?
Curious how many calories are you eating if maintaining at this weight? Please mention if you are exercising or not. Thank you.

Maintenence NSVS :-)
Hi folks, Thought I'd share my latest NSVs since I started my recomp :- I am on week 8. I cut back on cardio and started lifting consistently at end of Aug, plus yoga twice a week. (Used to do over 20k a day, mix of running and walking - now average 14k ) In the past week several people have mentioned that I'm losing…

How do you know when to stop losing?
Hello everyone! I can't believe I am so close to being here. I am down 74.2 pounds, my goal being 75 pounds. My question though is about knowing when to stop losing weight. I picked my goal weight because it was the very top of a healthy BMI, and because 75 pounds sounded like a nice number! Also, this is what I weighed in…

going way over maintenance... 10000kcal weekend

Continue 'Recomp' or lose more weight?
Hi every one :] I've been eating at maintenance now for around 3 weeks (and enjoying it, I have to say!). I'm 5ft2 and 125 lbs so technically a 'healthy weight'. I've starting a really decent lifting routine put together by my trainer as I'm currently what people call 'skinny fat'. I've been doing this for two weeks and…

How do I decide to recomp or not?
Title. ^ I'm 135 lbs now, 5'6", and I can fit into sizes I haven't worn since high school (the dream, amirite?) I can't, however, wear the belly shirts that are so popular right now because they don't look good on me. I have a puffy tummy that's easily upset and bloats a lot because of it. I'll go a size or two up in jeans…

Do you do much cardio now that you've reached your goal weight?
I'm wondering what the future holds for me. I like to eat a lot of food, so I'm wondering if I will still need to do an hour or two of cardio a day once I get to goal, or maybe just do 30 minutes a day, then splurge on the weekends. What is your method? I personally hate cardio. I have thought about getting a treadmill or…

Just hit 81 lbs lost and want to maintain/build muscle
Good morning. I hit a weight of 168.4 this weekend. I originally had a goal of 160 lbs but I think I am "skinny" enough. I've been weight lifting, however, I think that due to my small calorie intake, I'm not making the "gains" of weightlifting that most see. Will setting my calories up to maintain my weight help me see…

how to keep logging and stay motivated
Hi All, I got to a good weight (not my target tho) around 6 months ago and then I feel off my mo-jo of logging and staying focused. I got a new job which was horrible but luckily I am now in a great job which is looking a lot lot better. Over this time I have only put on around 5lbs which is a miracle as I have stopped…

Maintaining weight
I have been able to hold my weight at around 350lbs for the last 2 months, since this vein reflux crap in my calves happened. They hurt like hell and between them and my back my life is pretty shity and trying to get those compression hose on just wrenches my back, by myself it takes 20-30 min to put on.

Why does this seem scarier?
I am downright terrified to declare myself in maintenance. Losing weight seemed so easy. I knew the formula. I knew staying under goal had positive consequences and going over had negative consequences. It was an absolute I could easily deal with. Maintenance seems so foreign to me. The majority of my life has been spent…
