Maintaining my goal weight
It's been1 year since I started regularly dieting & exercising. Thanks to fitbit and myfitnesspal I have sucessfully lost the weight. Maintaining the weight loss takes commitment and sacrifice. It wasn't easy though. I'd like to know the what you did to help you lose weight and what were you're biggest challenges?

Looking for petite women friends who are active on MFP!
Hi everyone, I've been on MFP for a couple years and lost 15 or so lbs using this site (which took a while as I am only 5'1"). I am active on here, especially in the fall and winter, and I love having interactive friends! I'm currently maintaining between ~102 and 105 lbs, love outdoor exercise/sports, and am friendly and…

When to start maintenance?
Good morning! I have changed my goal weight several times and am now down within my goal range of 125-128 (currently at 125.4). Is this a good time to start on maintenance and any tips on what to do?? Suggestions welcome!

Should I maintain or what?
I'm 55, 5'9", 168 lbs. and a few pounds away from my arbitrary weight goal. I don't mind my current weight but I look the same now as I did 15 pounds ago only smaller. I'm not wanting to become smaller, just less jiggly and more buff. I'd love to lose the gut and moobs, tighten the bingo wings and legs and build and define…

Hi!! Anyone new can add me if they like I talk about myself a little in this post
My name is misti and I've returned to logging after a long break when other things just took priority. I have gone up and down and up again in weight while not using this site. If anyone new wants to add me they can. I watch Doctor Who, read Dean Koontz, and do youtube

Always Cold!
I have been within my target goal range for the last 6 weeks. I wanted to ask long-term Maintainers how long it took you before you stopped feeling so dang cold ALL the time?! My husband jokes that i freeze at 80*F. In case it's relevant...my personal details. Height: 5'6" Starting Weight: 229lb Goal Weight: 150lb Maintain…

Quick question on sedentary vs lightly active WITH Fitbit
Hi All! I was hoping someone could help me with this question - I have been struggling with what to set MFP goals at. I walk 10,000 steps (8km) minimum per day - always between 8km to 12km. I don't do any other exercise though. MFP does sync with my FB and does count the steps/calories. I try not to eat back more than 50%…

Starting maintenance without putting on water weight.
Is this possible? I am 4 pounds from my goal weight of 110 pounds and I am still losing at a rate of between half a pound and a pound a week. My MFP calories were set at 1200 at sedentary to lose half a pound a week, but I actually lost more, although I actually averaged 1100-1150 daily because I allowed for miscounting…

Starting over once again!
I lost 37 pounds 3 years ago and it's been a very suttle gain for me over the past 2 years. I used the Paleo diet, gluten free diet and I was part of a group of ladies who we talk with about the diet and try new foods at our weekly meetings and pray for each other and also kept track by emails as well. The group went by…

Switching from losing weight to maintaing weight
I have my calorie goal set to lose 2 pounds per week. I am almost to my weight goal (4 pounds to go) but the main thing for me is to be healthy, strong, and avoid injuries. I am working out (cardio and doing mostly body weight exercises for about 90 to 120 minutes a day) I would like to lose my 4 pounds and then transition…

Just started maintainence-worried about Thanksgiving
I just started maintaining this week. I had planned to start adding 100 calories per day, but I'm wondering if I should not start adding now, knowing I will go over on Thanksgiving. What I'd like to do is add the calories, eat what I want to for that meal, but not gain this week. Is that possible? I've been eating 1,200…

Stopped logging for 2 Months now.........
......and i've stayed the same weight! Yayy. I do still weigh certain things like Rice, Pasta, Cereal - but i haven't logged one thing! I've had Pizza, Big Restaurant Meals, Alcohol etc. - so it's not like i've been depriving myself either. So it IS possible. Thought i'd be logging forever! Lol

For those lifting, do you do cardio too?
Or do you only lift? How much time do you spend each day/week?

Maintenance Newbie- going crazy!
Hi All! I just barely hit my goal of 150 last week. Granted I had been sick, so I know some of that last minute push was dehydration, but I was hoping to get closer to 145 (ultimate goal) so I could REALLY go to maintenance. Over the weekend, I actually *gasps* ate some food (after loosing my appetite for several days),…

Sodium numbers
So, I am on my third day of MFP just looking at my numbers to see how they shake out and the one that is jumping out at me is Sodium. This is the only number I am going over on in my regular diet. I had no idea how much Sodium there is in certain foods. This is one I will watch.

Meal ideas :)
Hi everyone, I'm a 5'7", 159 pound, 19 year old girl and I am trying to get down to 140 pounds . I was wondering if anyone had any food ideas that would keep me full and full of energy (I'm a vegetarian by the way) and if anyone is wanting to add me so we can encourage one another to keep losing weight as I struggle to…

Until You Train You Can't Maintain
I have not achieved goal. But I'm wondering, who of you went from 0 to 60 in weight loss (meaning got to their goal weight in a short period of time compared to the majority of MFP community ) and are at maintenance for at least 3 months. I know I need to train myself to intake calories at a certain level so that i can…

Is anyone being told they lost to much weight?
Is anyone else being told they lost to much weight, I struggle with this because I hold my weight in my stomach which I don't like, but I lose my butt when I lose the weight, I look healthy, but just have a small backside.

I'm an avid weight loser. Help...
I have no problem getting to my goal, whether takes a few months or or almost a year . I honestly, don't know how to maintain. If I'm not losing, I'm gaining. I think I tire myself out being so strict with my diet and an avid gym goer, I don't know what to do when I get there. I need a healthy balance.

3 lbs away from goal range
3 lbs until I hit my goal weight. I have actually surpassed my goal weight but wanted an extra 5 lbs for adjustment and wiggle room. I am still set at 1lb a week weight loss and its pretty much been working just fine. Since I'm close being 3 pounds away should I switch my rate of loss to 1/2 lb now or will upping the…

When to start adding back calories
I am 1 1/2 pounds away from my goal weight. I'm fine at that weight but I'd like to lose a pound or two more to give me a little breathing room. After I'm at goal, should I go ahead and start adding back calories a little at a time, or keep doing what I'm doing until I lose below my goal weight?

Transition to Maintenance Help
I'm 4 lbs from my goal, and for some reason, I'm losing fast right now. Do you just wait until you hit your actual goal to start adding in calories? Should I try to slow it down or just ride out this whoosh? I total about 1200 a day. I'm 5'2", and 63 so that amount is actually enough for me while losing.

So important!
It's so important to not forget all the work that I have put in and all the weight that I lost. I need to bee thankful that I am 70 pounds lighter as I get this last bit off. It's my body for life! Just a reminder.... :)

Seeking friends who are trying to maintain..
Hi all. I have lost a total of close to 70 pounds over the past several years. I'm at a point now where I'm just trying not to gain. I've been trying to maintain since about August and it is definitely the hardest part of the whole journey. I mean, you just can't let your self slack off and not be mindful of what you…

Holiday challenges
I'm about to enter the season. Thanksgiving, Christmas and holiday work parties. Any tips on navigating this time of the year without gaining weight and work/family alienation?
