Interesting Body Composition Calculator
So it is a bit fiddly, but what I found as far as a muscular potential calculator for women. Per reddit the calculation here for women is presuming 20% body fat, though 12% is stated. You need to input everything in metric and also click over to another calculator (Navy tape for women) to get your current calculated lean…

When does it go from re-comp to cut/bulk?
So, I'm at maintenance now. However, I'm considering going into a sort of cut/bulk cycle, but I'm not sure I can really call it that. Basically, my plan is to slightly up calories and lower cardio in winter when the weather is crap and calorie-dense foods plentiful and then lower calories slightly and do more cardio in…

Logging exercise
Should you or should you not log your daily calories that you have burned? I have read from others not to log it into your fitness pal as it shows you false calculations.

Weight issue
Is it normal when eating at maintenance calories to gain like 2 kgs at the end of the day ?? And when is the best time to weigh yourself?

Rocky road into maintenance
Hi everyone! Soon I will be joining you here. I am having a hard time as I approach my goal. I seem to be fluctuating between loss and also justifying bad eating without logging. I am recommitting to entering maintenance in a steady fashion. My goal is 110, and I want to stop losing at 108 and maintain there. My range is…

Anyone maintaining and still fasting?
I find that I got so much benefit from my fast days, including better control over my blood sugar (no more spikes and crashes) that I've wanted to keep one day of fasting in my eating plan. The only small problem is remembering that I can go over my maintenance calories on occasion to make up. I also find that I do better…

Bulking and cutting question.
I have been losing weight via calorie deficit, 110 pounds over the last ten months (significantly overweight) and am still very overweight (actually still obese category). However, my ultimate goal is to be as muscular as possible given genetics, being female, whatever. I like the look of female bodybuilders, although I…

Self sabotage! Why??
Can't lose last 2lbs. Every time I get to 1lb from my goal I sabotage myself and eat a lot and go back to being 2lbs away from my goal. Why do I do this? It's almost like I won't let myself be happy. Don't deserve it.

Period weight doesn't go away?
Recently I've noticed that my period/mid-cycle weight gain doesn't go away. I'm almost sure it's water weight since I pee less than usual around those times but then the gain stays. As a result I gain about a pound or two every month, with like 3-4 weeks of stable weight then a sudden spike. I've been recovering from…

Eating

Does it matter how much protein/ carbs?
You have or which foods you eat and drink? Or is it just about sticking to your calorie goal for the day? I'm still in diet mode but want to maintain really I'm gradually upping my daily cal goal but wondered if it matters if I eat say cereal or toast for breakfast or a protein bar/shake? Have you ditched the scales yet?
My goal has been to reduce BF and gain muscle which obviously meant losing weight too. Having initially lost 22lbs my weight has not changed much in the last 4 to 5 months, however my waistline continues to get smaller and my t-shirts tighter which tells me the diet and weight training are working well so as of today I am…

Two Weeks Off - UGH! Dreading This
I work out for 1-1/2 to 2 hours daily, pretty much every day. I lift for at least an hour and do 20 to 30-minutes of cardio. Well, this week, we've been preparing to leave for a long getaway that's out of the country (staying on a small yacht, no access to a gym). I planned on going to the gym for two hours Monday through…

Struggling to eat enough
Hi there, hoping someone might have some advice for me because I'm really not sure what to do. I've lost a lot of weight (70kgs in total) and I now weigh about 60kgs, which is the lowest I'd like to go. I used to eat massive amounts of food easily (really bad stuff too!), but after months of sticking to 1200 per day in…

Eat more or readjust goal weight?
I set for myself a target weight of 165 and reached it a month ago. Since then, I'm still losing a bit and I've gone under my +- 2 lbs range, partly because I struggle to keep my calories up with my triathlon training (which will go down in 2 months in favor of a focus on weight training). Since my target weight was…

Gained a few pounds, Is it time to take action now?
In March I finally reached my end point of losing weight, I got fed up with losing weight and the obsession I formed around it so I went into maintaining. As it usually goes I stopped counting calories, Deleted my old MFP account and the scale creeps up 5-7 pounds(My weigh in's aren't super accurate because I can't weigh…

Worried about Prometrium
Hi guys, I'm suppose to start taking Prometrium (Progrogesterone) for 14 days to try and regulate my period. I have been getting my period every 14 days and am constantly fluctuating in weight because of it. However, I have heard that the pill causes weight gain? Has anyone ever had this experience and lost weight on the…

Still lose fat at maintenance calories?
Hi all, I'm currently on a bulk, all be it in getting more muscle mass, my stomach is also growing. I've currently calculated around 23% BF, so obviously want to lose some fat. When did you decide on maintenance, and how did you start?
I'm down 45 pounds and I'm in a healthy weight range, however I'm not 100% happy where I am. I'm about 5 pounds from my goal so I'm getting close to maintaining my weight. When did you decide you were at a healthy place to maintain? How did you start this new way of diet and excersize? Thanks for the help!

Maintenance calories, for short ladies 5'1-5'2, maintaining 110lb or under
Hey! Just wondering what calories ladies this size tend to be maintaining at? I originally was eating 1500 calories to maintain, but am wondering if upping it to 1700 calories would be above maintenance? I'm 25 and do cardio 3-5 times a week, for 45 mins. Any other ladies experience would be really appreciated, thanks!

Got sick for 1St time this year
Yup. I allowed it. I found ways to fit eating whatever I wanted into maintenance, and got lazy eating my fruit and veggies for the first time in ages and boom, I got ill. Word of warning , maintaining weight is more than the number and aesthetic, don't forget to nourish yourself peeps!
