What have you done RIGHT today Day 7
To often we ONLY reflect on the things we didn't do or could have done better - there is a place for that but we also need to reflect on the things we have done right. ONLY positive comments- so tell me what have you done right, last night or today? * mine is* Despite having a REALLY crappy day yesterday I DID NOT turn to…

Motivation of the Day
We all have moments in our lives that we prefer to not look back on but when the world constantly wants to remind us of those things this is the time we have to have control and discipline to not turn this moment into one of those moments we never want to look back on. Don't let the world hold you back for their own…

Motivation of the Day
In life we often run into Road Blocks and then are faced with the decision of Detour. We have to keep in mind that the path to success is not always on the straight and narrow road but when faced with detour take this opportunity to know that this too shall pass. Don't let this be the final Road Block because your idea of…

"obsessed with weight loss?!"
My wonderfully supportive boyfriend and my family initially supported me when I decided to drop the extra pounds I had put on over the past couple years. But today my grandmother tells me that I am becoming 'obsessed'. My boyfriend seems concerned with the fact that I will log my food in before I have even prepared it,…

The Debate Continues - Weigh-Ins: Daily v. Weekly
Hey everyone, just looking for some input - as well, this seems to be a popular topic. What are your thoughts on how often you should weigh in? Daily or weekly? My vote: Daily. I find it works for me - keeps me very focused and I don't beat myself up over daily fluctuations. I've weighed in weekly in the past when I was…

p90x - really?
So, I am out of shape (unless round is a shape). Started running again this week but today it was nasty snowing etc so I missed my run. After a dinner of tortellini and garlic bread (which is sitting in my stomach like a rock), I decided to finally try the p90x dvds that I've had for almost 2 months. I've been afraid to…

MFP Heartache
Hey guys I use to use this web site all the time. Though I'm not in bad shape I'm finding that I am caring less to work out and i'm beginning to slowly let go of my routines. I just went through a hard break up and still trying to make sense of it. I just want things to be right for me. I'm 28 and I'm feeling maxed out on…

I'm looking for a body double!!
I'm looking for a body double. Someone with a similar height and weight; and similar goals. I need someone to motivate and push me when I really need it. And I need someone who is needing the same kind of motivation and support as well. I've been doing this for a looooooooong time, (close to 3 years now) and I just can't…

Its my body and I want it NOW!!!
I've always been the type of person that thrives on instant resaults. I believe this is why I became such a good eater. You eat the food and you're instantly satisfied. Exercise on the other hand is slow and not so instant. I get discouraged when I work hard and nothing happens. I can't be the only one. What are some ways…

Emotions tied to weight loss/maintenance?
Hi All, Just an observation/question. I seem to be hitting my weight-loss stride and this morning I am wearing jeans in a size that I couldn't get past my knees 3 months ago (yay!). BUT with the loss of my love handles I seem to have lost a bit of, well, padding from the outside world if that makes sense. And I get noticed…

Here's some motivation if you haven't lost much yet
I have been wavering between an 8 and 10 pound loss for 2 weeks now and was starting to feel a little down about the scale not permanently moving. So last night I happened to pick up a gallon jug and thought to myself, "Hey, I have lost this weight in fat over the past month or so!" as a gallon weighs roughly 8 pounds. It…

Does anyone else hate......
when people come up to you and say "You've lost loads of weight!" in a surprised tone. Maybe they are trying to be flattering, but it always sounds to me like "You were such a fat heifer before." Especially as I have only lost 4 lbs, so actually, I HAVEN'T lost weight. I have toned up, but I wasn't THAT big before…

Night shifts
I'm a nurse and I work 2 nights a week which completely throws my eating habits. I find I either eat rubbish all night - loads of toast and biscuits at the nurses station or I eat virtually nothing. When I get home and go to bed (around 9.30am) I never know whether to eat breakfast before I go to bed, or to leave it and…

Shame
I set my diary to private for the first time today. Why? Because I'm ashamed of how much I have been eating. I can eat well through most of the day, but sometimes I just get this insane hunger where I feel like I could just keep eating and eating and it's hard for me to stop. This only happens every once in a while, but it…

I NEED SUPPORT (AND NOT JUST IN MY BRA)!
So I've recently started to legitimately use the blog option on here as a way to try to work my way towards my weight loss/health goals, and I'd really appreciate as much positive support as possible, but also just someone to be there to witness my ups and my downs, to hold me accountable to the wonderful goals I've set…

Ready to throw in the towel...help!
My husband and I started the P90 program (not the p90x), and I've been tracking my eating/calories on this site. I've passed the 30 day mark and have not lost any weight, and probably have only lost about an inch on my waist and hips. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it's a bit frustrating to have put all of this…
