160+ pounds down. Still going strong.
Had a great time at Planet Comicon this past weekend in KCMO. I got to meet Stephen Amell twice. Once to get his autograph on a picture I took with him two years ago, and again to get my picture with him and said picture from two years ago. For me the picture that I took two years ago held two competing emotions. One of…

Hey all I am not done yet but I wanted to share my progress to date. I found the success stories section helped keep me inspired throughout. I started January 27th 2017. I began calorie counting and walking a small bit each day. I gradually increased my walking and when I had lost about two and a half or three stone, I…

365 days, down 107.5 lbs
Today marks one year since I decided to make a change, first went vegetarian which cut out almost all fast food, and a little while after that gave up soda and started counting calories and using MFP daily for logging. Have definitely had ups and downs, in fact in July I only lost 3lbs instead of my 10lb goal due to…

Hi everyone, I did it - ive reached my goal weight! A year and a half ago, just after I turned 40, I decided I had to do something about my weight. It reached 84kg (185 lbs) on my 5'5 frame, I was officially obese with a BMI over 30. I felt like a balloon that was about to pop, my breasts were ridiculously big and I…

6 1/2 months of dieting = success
Left side is what I looked like on New Year's Day. Right side was yesterday. No fad diet, no magic drink, no meal replacement shakes, no pills. Just plain dieting: weighing everything I eat, logging it all, and rarely cheating. 70 lbs. lost. Diets only work when we do.

Great News!
I'm wearing a pair of jeans that hasn't fit in 5 years! My blood pressure medication was lowered by my doctor yesterday! I feel 20 years younger and have a ton of energy! I'm piloting a vegan meal delivery service for a couple of people in my area. That will be fun!

It Was Suggested I Post This Here Too.
I posted this the other day in the motivation section. Sometimes you need to see that the changes are possible. I posted there in the hopes of giving anyone who might have needed it that little bump of inspiration. I initially put the two pictures together for myself as a way to prove all the work is worth it and that…

Good morning! Gosh, I really enjoy reading success stories. I would like to share mine--I have lost my first pound!! I have opened, passed through, and locked my first door. I have 39 more doors to open--some will be a breeze--many are going to be stuck--rusted shut making it very difficult to pass through--but not…

Stripey top comparison!
Realised today how far I've come. Am currently 32lbs down. 5 foot 7 and a half. 40 something... From 14 stones 2 to 11.11. (Metric Scot!) Quite emotional looking at these pics. Remember seeing the first and being so embarrassed at the time but felt unable to do anything as so unfit and in rubbish eating mode. Wee steps…
