New body - new life
Friends, I just want to remind you - never give up. I was able to radically change my diet, lifestyle, and my attitude to sports in one year of my life. There are many great resources, information, forums, and websites to help you with this. I went through my path successfully, changed my life and even opened my own small…

Lost 60 Pounds with 40 to Go!
I started at 270. My doctor classified me as MORBIDLY OBESE and gave me a referral for gastric bypass surgery, and I went for the consultation but after seeing photos of the procedures, I bolted out of the office. The last thing I wanted was to ruin my stomach. I'm already being treated for reflux and have a hiatal hernia…

4 weeks in, 25lbs. down.
I'm 4 weeks back on the wagon, restarting my fitness journey. After gaining back 180lbs. and having a serious talk with my doctor, I made the decision to re-commit to being healthy. Sometimes you just need someone to lay out the facts and be honest with you. I've been getting up every morning and working out at home. Spin…

Hello - I lost 26lbs - 20 to go
I made myself a goal in March 2022 to lose 45 lbs after slowly getting bigger and bigger over the last 11 years (all menopause years).. and I am over half way. I logged everything I ate and drank for first 3/4 months... then stopped when the new shopping/cooking habits became embedded. I have the luxury of living alone,…

600 DAYS!!!
Six- hundred days of logging in my meals! I am 68 Years of age so I don’t do the fitness routines, but I walk a mile every day with my dog. I joined a senior fitness group but am not consistent. It took me 18 months to lose 40 pounds, now I want to keep it off. But 600 days! I am so jazzed! 😄

Those who have lost a lot of weight - maintenance phases
Those of you on here who have lost a lot of weight and kept it off - did you build in regular maintenance phases? So did you lose your weight in one go, or did you occasionally have a break from the restriction? I ask as my boyfriend showed me a youtube video by a PHD body builder and he said, that it makes sense to lose…

Intermittent fasting
I am 38 years old, currently weighing in at right around 270 (started around 313). I have a pretty sedentary job. I have been on my journey since July of this year. I have been steadily losing 2-3 lbs per week, even though every Saturday is my cheat day. It's the only way to keep my sanity lol. I try to work out 3-4 times…

Unexpected results of weight loss
Was wondering (just for fun) what everyone's weight loss 'surprises' were - I mean, we all know we're going to finish looking awesome, fitter, and having to buy a new wardrobe of clothes :-) but what were the results of weight loss you didn't realise..? I've still a little way to go but doing well - my two were: - I didn't…

When did people notice that you lost weight that didn't know you were working on it?
So when did people notice that you were working on it? For me, 20 pounds before a neighbor said something very nice. My close friends know because I askedfor their support. Hubby knows since I really need his support. And you?

Number of the beast: 66.6 kg = 147 pounds, not so beasty after all
While I am not big on "mini goals" and the like, I am not completely insensitve to symbolism (however meaningless) and markers (which is essentially what mini goals are anyway). So today, I found it quite funny to see the number of the beast this afternoon after a long nap: 66.6 kg. Coming from 127 kg, that means I have…

Doing things the right way for the first time
I’ve been on this site since I was 18. I’m now 27. And in that time I’ve constantly been in cycles of restricting and binging. Sometimes I’d restrict heavily for months at a time and lose a bunch of weight but I’d always become obsessive and it’d consume my entire life. It would then inevitably be followed by a period of…

What worked for you today?
I'm recommitting to my health today, and one thing that worked well for me was planning to split my calories into 3 meals and 1-2 snacks. I'm going to try to update this thread daily so that I remember to capture the positives. I invite all of you to do the same.

Muffins top disappeared
I was looking in the mirror today. At my waist where the fat curves outward there is a change. The sides of my waist curve inward instead of outward. I am pleased to see a noticeable improvement.

I've learned how to do this! ((knock wood))
I've been maintaining just below 120 lbs since end of May-ish. Then about 2 weeks ago I challenged the scale to move up, and with increased consumption of beer and food and less riding my bike, it did! I gained a couple pounds over the 120. My success is I can take it back off! I know what to do. Cut back on alcohol and…

25lbs down, way more to goooo!!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share with you guys my progress. I went through a really bad breakup and was really down on myself. I was my heaviest at 258 and now 25lbs down and never looking back. Sometimes it takes unpleasant situations to get us to a place of learning how to value ourselves! I have so much more to go but…

Update: 100+ pound weight loss and body building
Hey all! I’ve been super proud of myself and wanted to share it all with you:) At the start of quarantine 2020, I weighed about 330 to 340 pounds at 6’2”. Staying home meant I couldn’t buy McDonald’s, 7 Eleven, or any other junk on my commute to school. I had to eat my mom’s healthy, delicious home cooking! I took staying…

I maintained for a month instead of "falling off the wagon"!
I'm feeling really proud of myself! Long story short, In August and part of September I lost about a third of the weight I want to (Still have 10 lbs to go) then I had social obligations and to be frank I just wasn't in the right mindset. But instead of throwing caution to the wind and regaining everything I stayed the…

Still here!
In July of 2021 I decided I wanted to take my life back! While I am not where I would like to be, I am so much further than I was then. Making lifestyle changes is hard-work but very worth it. I am down 30 pounds but: I. Have. Kept. It. Off. I have my off days and sometimes weeks, but overall there are more good days than…

Tailbone pain?
I have lost about 75 lbs in the last year and a half. I did so gradually, although I ended up losing a bit more than intended because eldercare responsibilities threw my life out of whack and made me literally sick to my stomach for a bit.. Everything else has been wonderful, except that recently I have been having the…

5 lbs down today and grateful for a body that I get to show love!
This year has been full of unexpected medical adventures but I am thank to be on the other side of it. On the upside, I have rediscovered a love for my ONE and only body. I've finally gotten back into a healthier lifestyle
My weight loss journey has been insane over the past 4 years. I was doing an amazing job for a year, then I lost it all and gained back amost all of my weight rapidly. There have been many starts and stops since then, but I'm doing really well right now. I've finally gotten over that period where it's very difficult to…
