Losing then Gaining then Losing again...
I am a female in my 60's, and 5'8" tall. I started my journey in 2021 at 240 pounds Lost 63 pounds from eating small healthy meals between 10;00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and walking every day, and got down to 177 pounds. Then in 2022 gained back 25 pounds and saw the scale inch back up to 202 pounds through binge eating, eating…

Double chin
One thing I have been extremely self conscious about is my double chin. I would do anything and everything to try and hide it. I’ve noticed that after losing 5lbs, my double chin is significantly smaller! It’s still there, and it’s a work in progress, but yay!

27 Pounds since December, so happy
Since my friends here at MFP are either inactive or not interested in me due to my past failures, I have to gloat and brag here. I have lost 27 pounds since December. I have fallen off the wagon, jumped back on, fell off again, jumped back. Finally, it clicked. I am eating healthy and less, I cook more and prepare meals. I…

My jeans are falling down
I'm 4 weeks into trying to burn off some fat and build some muscle through coached swimming and weight training sessions. I figure I won't see much difference on the scales, so here are my little bits of progress... 1. I've lost a few cm from my waist 2. I'm doing more reps of higher weights at the gym 3. I can feel a bit…

I *lost* nearly 3 lbs on vacation
I predicted that I had gone up by 3 lbs on my way home from an 11 day trip to California. We ate and ate, but we also hiked and walked and walked some more. When I got home, I as down about 2.75 lbs. This is me and my husband in Yosemite. I was 170 lbs last August, and I am now 117 lbs. Edit: I'm 5' 2.5" tall.

Day 4000 logging streak
I've been on MFP regularly for 4000 days now. Since 2011 and daily logging my exercise and food. I've had a few changes in weight but steadily have been within 10lbs during all that time. It's been a fun ride and I'll continue on here for as long as I can keep doing it. Or until they kick me off. A.C.E. Certified Personal…

Tracking My Calories Reminded Me to Eat More
Tracking my calories helped me realize I needed to eat more. I'm active and have to eat more to keep up with my activity level, or I get tired and wear down over time. I'm already in good shape, I use myfitnesspal to track what I'm doing so I can be at my best. It's not always about losing weight.

New Friends!
I have decided to make new friends: my measuring cups, liquid measuring cup and food scale. Why friends? These tools have no opinions, just facts. These tools do not judge, just data. I have been working on reducing the fear of number amounts on the useful tools. I previously freaked out when measuring; for example: I…

From 288 to 171!! How? I NEEDED support and found it! (No gimmick) A group here!
Back in 2010 I weighed in at 288 lbs. I was mostly confined to a power chair (97% of the time). My back pain was so SKY HIGH , along with being deeply depressed. At that time I was even suicidal. STRANGELY I hadn't connected a part of the depression and not wanting to live being MY OWN FAULT. Does that sound harsh? But,…

95lbs Transformation (1.5 Year Transformation)
It looks like I’ve plateaued and won’t be losing any more weight without having to reduce calories or increase exercise. To be honest, I’m happy with my weight now and plan to work on maintenance for the next year or two. I’ll reevaluate later if I decide I want to lose more. I also didn’t shave or cut my hair while I was…

2.5 pounds down! I'm a new woman!
I joined MFP in December 2014 at 237.8 pounds. I was at a wellness low point. Chronic headaches, irregular cycle, infertility issues, I was depressed, an alcoholic and avoided movement like the plague. That winter I began cycling 90 minutes a day 6 days a week and carefully consuming 1200 calories a day, I bought a kitchen…

Mandatory 100 pounds lost celebratory post (pics)
Got serious in November when I was told I'm in diabetic range on top of my other health issues. Have resolved diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and put AFIB into remission since that time. Training focus is now on cardio, I have run distances of up to 10K and recently resumed powerlifting (this time without the…

One full year of logging
A year ago today, I decided I needed to get back into the practice of logging everything I eat. I'm celebrating today because I managed to log every single day for the last year - and don't plan on stopping. My original reason for the logging was to get my diabetes under control more than to lose weight, but happily…

Staying motivated
How do you stay motivated? I have tried calorie counting, working out regularly, portion watching, changing my diet and I just cannot figure out that is going to work for me after many months. What keeps you motivated?
