BIG HUG!
Another NSV... a lady I work with, but haven't seen in a couple weeks came up to me and said, "Emily you've lost some weight haven't you?" . I was so happy I gave her a huge hug!!!!! Just thought I'd share.

my NSV
I was able to do 10 push ups before I had to give up and do the "girlie" ones! I don't think I've ever done more than 3 before. WOO HOO

I ran! .... In public!
Just an FYI - I'm not a runner. I have never liked to run. When you are over 195 lbs (at 5 ft short) body parts tend to actually hurt when you run. The jiggling caused me pain and was just too uncomfortable so I refused to do it. Never mind the fact that I was too lazy as well. Anyway, I decided to take a walk this…

3 Month Progress Picture
Here's my 3 month progress picture. I have surpassed my original weight goal and am working on toning and body fat now. Any tips? I do strength training 3 times a week and cardio 3 times a week. Thank you to everyone here. I would NOT have been able to do this without MFP. Also any tips on running my first 5K? What to…

93 lbs lost - updated pic - Halfway to my goal!
This morning I weighed in at 286.8 lbs, which for many would seem to be a lot - and it is. What makes this remarkable is that less than 5 months ago, on November 10th, 2010, I weighed 380 lbs. Have a look: Today, I look a little different: A "serial dieter", I've failed before, but I have never lost so much, so quickly,…

NSVs :-)
Okay, so I have been "on the weightloss bandwagon" since January, but joined MFP just over 2 weeks ago now. The scale has moved slightly, but my NSVs have been piling up. The latest ones tickle me quite a bit: 1) I bought an exercise bike a couple of weeks ago. The first time I used it, I only did 4 minutes (!) and felt…

Needing motivation like WHOA. Post all your befores & after
Hey guys. I've been off MFP for two months and feel like crap. Will you pretty please post your befores and afters for me? I need a positive kick in the pants. And if anyone was like 5'2" and around 180 - 190, please message me too!

NSV: Sometimes it's the little things
I have been going to my gym for over 1.5 years relatively consistently. Today, a woman who I see often (but who I have never exchanged words with) approached me as I was leaving and commented that she rarely notices people in the gym, but said it seemed to her that I slimmed out a lot!? I told her how much I have lost…

18 pounds 3 months too good to be true? no pics
Okay so I started using mfp towards the end of January. I try to weigh myself at the end of everyweek and usually morning and evening to make sure it's consistant and not just fickle weight like from water or a big meal. Apparently i've lost 18 pounds but I just don't feel it! My stomach still seems the same since my…

Nice little NSV to get my motivation back!
So a bit of a back story. Before I lost 15lbs I felt horrible seeing myself in the mirror. I didn't like how anything looked and I HATED going to buy new clothes. Well, I am officially 15lbs down from where I've started and today was a great day. I'm going to the beach in about 5weeks and I've got about 10 more lbs I want…

B&A Total lost 6st (84lbs)
I've been over weight for around 8 years now and tried WW and Slimming world but as usual I would lose a couple of stone then stop going!! And put what I lost and more back on. I joined My Fitness Pal on 25th Jan 2010 and I started exercising on 25th Mar 2010. So far I have lost 84lbs and I'm at my target of 10Stone but…

Down 40 so far!
Hi everyone! My name is Stacy, i'm new to myfitnesspal.com. Previously i've done weight watchers and jillianmichaels.com. My starting weight was 198.6lbs and I was deathly afraid of hitting 200. Mainly because obesity runs in my family, and diabetes. I have 2 young boys and didnt want to give their mommy a shortened life…

45lbs lost!!! With pics of course :)
I am reaching the end of my journey...I think  I have been at it for exactly 9 months now! I have days that I feel good about my accomplishments & days where I feel like I could do so much more & push myself further...I am struggling to settle on a "goal weight" for this reason. Right now I'm thinking another…

NSV - the doctor visit
I just had my physical - and my doctor actually complimented me on my steady weight loss from the beginning of the year. Made me smile! I have a ways to go, and am at a bit of a plateau, but I'll bust through it :-) Sara

I have lost…

30DS results.... sorta
I actually did a 44 Day Shred (due to an injury and some time issues), and after seeing the side by side pictures, I am REALLY disappointed. Especially because I saw results in my clothes and in the tape... but it absolutely did not translate to the pictures. The pictures are usually what motivate me, but now I am beyond…

My first big NSV :)
I ran my first ever 5km today at the gym. I've been running seriously for about 3 months now and I would always stop at 30 minutes or just over 3 km. Today I pushed myself and did 5km in just under 44 minutes. I know it's not lightening speed...but it's a start. :flowerforyou:

A very satisfying NSV
At my heaviest, my size 36 pants were tight, and I used about the 2nd or 3rd hole in on my belt. Nowadays, I have a little breathing room in a size 34, and, after boring two new holes in my belt over time, the second hole I've made is no longer tight enough, so it looks like it might be time to retire the belt completely.…
