NSV that makes me a little sad
I love these jeans and they are just the teensiest bit too loose...and I know they will get looser and I'll have to retire them and I LOVE how they look on me. Maybe I'll get them tailored. I know I shouldn't be complaining, but does anyone else feel sad they have to lose that special garment? A dress? Pants? A special…

I didn't realize how much i had changed with just 7.8lbs lost, until I saw this picture in my husband's office yesterday! I took a pic this morning to show the comparison. I'm wearing the same fleece jacket. This made me happy :) Weight loss success pic 1 by alisonlburrell, on Flickr

Celebrating my own lil' victory
In January, I decided that it was most definitely time to buckle down and change my life, for the better. It was time to get in to shape and get healthier, so that's what I did. I started eating better and started working out, A LOT. I go to an hour Zumba class 4 times a week, and every other week, I have just started a…

My first big non-scale victory!!!
I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding on July 3rd. About three weeks ago, I went to try on dresses with the bride at David's Bridal. Well, when we went, I was totally in between sizes. One was too small and would zip a little more than half way, but no further. The next size up was HUGE on me. When it was zipped, you were able to…

NSV-Heart Rate Monitor Test
There are actually three small things that made me happy yesterday and again this morning. I have had my HRM since 2004, but haven't used it in a long time because well...life happened (passed the bar exam, got divorced, got remarried, moved about 4 times, had a baby...) and well, it needed batteries and I was too lazy to…

Double 00
I was so proud when I walked into American Eagle the other day and tried on a pair of tacky shorts size 2 only to realize that they were to big. I was even more proud when I put on their smallest size (double 00) and they fit perfectly. Say my success story of the year! :)

Before & (almost) after pics!
I am extremely proud of myself and, after 65lbs lost, wanted to share some pics! (Hopefully I did it right so they show up!) Before - February 2010 Now - March 16, 2011

My 55lb weight loss
I have lost 55lbs. The first 2 photos are at my highest weight of 211. I am 5'5. I have no idea I was that big. Really. I thought I was still looking okay. These were taken about a month ago. I am around 168? I am now 157. I am squeezed into my size 8 jeans. LMAO. I have yet to wear them out, but I can zip them up now. I…

NSV: "You HAVE to buy that dress!"
Had a lovely afternoon of girly shopping with my daughter, - I have a wedding and a few other outings coming up, and she's singing at a cabaret do next weekend and needed something suitably glamorous. We went to TK Maxx and tried on oodles of dresses. I was delighted that a UK size 12 fitted with ease, and in some cases…

What I lost in March, 2011
I've successfully completed my first full month on MFP and I wanted to have a personal reference for me to quickly & easily see my success from month to month. This helps to motivate me so that I can see how far I’ve come and it helps me want to press on toward my goals. Maybe it can help motivate you too! Here's what I…

made it!!
I started this journey the beginning of October with 42 pounds to loose. I found MFP in January with 18 more pounds to go. This morning I weighed in at 120 pounds! Mission accomplished! My friends have been telling me for the last couple of weeks that it is time to stop...but I wanted to reach my goal. Now I can tell them…

What is sucess?
How do you personally define sucess when it comes to losing weight and being healthy? since everyone has a different goal; what is your personal definition?

NSV! YAY!
Yesterday, I was telling my hubs that I was happy/upset that my size12 jeans werent sagging and looked awful even with a belt. HAPPY because thats awesome progress, but upset because I dont want to spend money on new clothes until I am in at my goal(15 more pounds and a size 8). Why buy them to only wear them for a month…

Bikini Babes
For all you ladies out there who have been successful in achieving a bikini body that you are confident to flaunt, where did you buy your suit? If you'd like to flaunt what not only your mama gave you, but what you've worked hard to sculpt, mold & maintain, by all means, let's bring summer a little early (i'm sure the men…

NSV!!
Okay...I've had a few less-than-monumental NSV (well, not enough to share...just celebrated in private!), but this past weekend I completed my first 5K. I didn't do over-the-top great, but I did finish the race. It was a trail run, to boot!!! Such a sense of accomplishment.

NSVs!
I always, ALWAYS get stuck when I go down into a new bracket (the 160s, 150s) and right now I'm stuck trying desperately to get into the 140s! I'm getting a little discouraged so I decided to post some of my recent NSVs for motivation. =] - I completed Day 5, Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred today, and felt like I could do…

NSV -- my first. Woohoo!!
So, I was debating on what to wear today and I pulled out a pair of jeans that I always hated cuz the front of my belly always rolled over them, and for a while I couldn't even fit it them. Well, as of tomorrow I will (hopefully) have officially lost 22 lbs and when I put the jeans on, guess what?? THEY BUTTONED! Anddddd,…

Beat my time!
During my 10k this weekend I noticed there was nobody behind me. Very depressing when that happens. I was the zombie bait! :frown: However, I put that out of my mind and focused on my own run. I knew I was making good time. I came up to the 2 mile marker and was at 20 minutes. Came up to the 3.3 mile and was at 33…

First 15 lbs. gone. What about new clothes?
So I actually have a pretty big, nice wardrobe, but over the past few years, I've slowly gotten rid of all my size 6s and 8s, since I have been 160-17? lbs. (size 10 / 12 / 14, depending) for 3 years. Now that I've lost 15 pounds, I'm noticing a lot of things are much looser on me. Jeans & pants, especially. At some point,…

NSV: 30DS - Power outage
This is kind of a silly NSV but I thought it was pretty cool and it gave me a confidence boost that I needed. So yesterday was a great day where I learned that this time I am going to stick with my plan and not let this be another fad. I invited my sister up to my house to try 30DS with me since she was interested in…
