I'm excited: I see a little visual progress :) (PICS)
I have had MFP for a while on my iPhone. I casually used it to log food in my phone when I was on my latest weight loss kick but never lasted too long and I NEVER got into the website. Now that I utilize the site via phone and web, I LOVE IT. I have always had the notion that the "Gym Sucks" even though I have had a…

Weight Loss - Where do you see it first?
This is going to sound weird, but every time I lose weight, I notice it around my hips. It's not a tape measure thing, but a difference in the shape. I have a lot of muscular issues around the hips, so maybe I just noticed it quicker there, because there is a lot of daily focus on my muscles there. I've also noticed this…

My Weightloss Journey :)
I didn't think I was going to do this. I was embarrassed to show the world who I use to be and how much I use to weigh... but I figured this is the NEW ME and I need to celebrate my achievements! I hope you will watch this video and enjoy it. Even if you do not leave a comment, I hope it will give you some kind of…

Half way down (pics)
I have officially gone over my half way point of 50lbs. I started working out and watching what I ate in 2/09. When I started my goal was 50lbs for the year (one pound a week) and a total of 100 in 2 years. Well with my trainer and MFP I have been able to exceed that. I have made this a whole lifestyle change not some…

26 pounds down since June 1st.
On June 1st this year I decided to lose weight and get healthy. I had tried so many diets, none of them worked for me, if I didn't happen to lose a few pounds I would gain it back with a few more. So, I started to google information and came accross MFP and I am so thankful that I did! I started that same day, and now 3…

Success, in spite of myself
Truth be told, I fell off the wagon a week ago and haven't been back on since. My eating habits have been horrible but I have kept up with my MFP logging (well over my calorie goal almost every day). Remarkably, I'm still losing weight. 196.4 or nearly 24 lbs lost in the past month. Need to get back on the horse though ..

Fall shopping!
I did my first mini bit of Fall shopping this weekend. Bf & I had an hour or so to kill before we got hungry (were right by the restaurant and didn't want to go home and come back) so we went into Old Navy. Everything was on sale but I always hit the clearance racks. I found a long sleeve shirt (a medium - woo hoo!) that…

Insanity Results (weight & inches)
Tomorrow is just the Fit Test and I have one other workout to do later today but I'm just going to go ahead and share my results! =) (If anything changes by tomorrow I'll update the info lol) With this program I lost 15lbs and 26 inches off of my body. Was pushing a size 16 and now wearing size 11. My shirts went from…

Success! ~ On to the next goal!
I finally made it out of obese BMI! Here I am at a BMI of 29.7! How funny to be happy to be "just overweight" and not obese. Over the last several years I have tried every diet out there. I would lose around 20 pounds, start to feel better and then gain it all back. This is the first time in about 8 years that I have…

Success tastes sweet
I started the 4th of august. I have been sticking to the plan, staying under my calories, and eating less processed food, more protien and whole grains, and exercising regularly. Today is the 6th of Sept I have lost 12 pounds so far, look alot thinner than I did a month ago, and feel alot better then I have in a while. I…

anybody like to hula hoop?
Hey I'm Brooke. I'm new to MFP and I just wanted to see if there's anyone else who likes to hula hoop. About 2 years ago I started making my own out of poly irrigation tubing and electrical tape. I enjoyed hooping so much that I started a hula hoop club at my college in upstate ny! It's really easy and fun and once you…

So many compliments :n)
Yesterday my parents had their annual party. They invite the whole family and some friends, as well, and we all get together and have a picnic and play guitars and drink, and just generally have a good time. I don't see a lot of these people too often. I'm not on FaceBook anymore, so it's been a while since many of them…

More B4 N Afta pics
woop! My MAC Died in 2006. I just had a local girl put on a disc everything that was on my hard drive. I was shocked at the pics! I knew I was big, I was almost 170 lbs at my heaviest. With a 5'2 frame that's not great! lol I was a 38 DD Chest ... Right now I wouldn't say I'm at my goal, but I'm well on my way. I tend to…

Focus on The Good
With my period came cravings and caved. I let my cramps be an excuse to slack. Still proud of the work I've accomplished over the last month... eating a lot healthier, drinking more water, exercising regularly and I quit smoking! But this month I'll be even better. No more excuses.

Inspired...
by the previous post I have decided to add my one week progress pictures. I am NOT allowed to weigh myself for 12 weeks and am finally doing things the easy way - eat right and exercise properly! So here is start date to week one...

Whoo hoo!
I lost 7.6 lbs in a week! (My first week of eating within calories every day and kicking-butt in the exercise department.) I, of course, am expecting a bigger drop the first week than any other week. I quit soda, fast food, stayed within my calories and exercised every day. I am hoping this is the first week of MANY that I…

Went Clothes Shopping and.....
I fit into a size 18! When I started MFP in the middle of July, I was wearing a 24. I'm not quite down to an 18 in slacks because of my huge thighs, but I am fine with a skirt. It's a small victory, but enough to keep me motivated. Shopping for clothes is my primary motivation for losing weight.

769 calories over goal - still a win
Saturday, I worked out for 65 minutes in the morning. I switched up my "usual" brunch order at the diner - from the Hungry Man (3 eggs, 10 slices of bacon, 1 slice of ham, 1 c. of home fries, 2 slices of toasted brown bread - 1300 calories) to the #1 (1 egg, 5 slices of bacon, 1 c. of home fries, 2 slices of toasted brown…

88 lbs
wow, cool and wonderful are the ways to describe how I feel. I started on Feb 1, 2010, and to this day, I have lost 88 lbs. Also, I can fast walk/slow jog on a tread mill for an hour and half, my blood pressure is now lowered, and I will be off the milder pill since the summer. My Dr wants to completely stop my b p…

My day just got a whole lot better!!
Nothing boosts the confidence like having someone you barely know notice the weight loss! I work at a hotel and one of our semi regular guests just came up and complimented me on my loss! It definitely helps me stay motivated when people notice! I've definitely got a long journey ahead of me but this just makes me want to…

Letting go. How does it feel?
How does it feel to see the progress you've made for the benefit of yourself? Looking back at what you used to be/weigh and think I can't BELIEVE I used to be like that! WHY didn't I make the change sooner. I feel great, I look great (well a hell of a lot better than I used to) and most of all I want to stay that way. What…

Just thought i'd share my progress! Started my 'diet' in February and joined the gym late feb / march time. I was weighing in at 18 stone (252lbs) and am now at 12 1/2 stone (175lbs) so have lost 76. Here's some before and after pics... http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o255/magsmagsmags_2007/MFP/ I think my goal weight…

Why do people say that?
Hello MFP friends and family! Yesterday I was up at our local college. I was talking to one of the instructors about my weight loss (31lbs), and I told her I still had 45 lbs to go before I'm at my goal weight of 130lbs. She looked at me and said you don't look that big, and if I was to lose any more weight I would look…

more before and after
The first photo (hope I can post it) was from October 2009. I was somewhere in the low 290's. The 'after' photo was last week at arond 214. I got serious about weight loss in mid-March, 2010 when I was introduced to MFP and re-learned how to eat. Hit my goal (220 pounds) in late July. I'm now sub 215. Wasn't that many…

35lbs down! 17lbs to go! With pics! =)
Hey guys, I started my journey here in April of this year and am so happy with the progress I have made. I feel absolutely great and finally have a healthy BMI. I have been jogging 3/4 times per week and eating healthily...although I still allow myself some naughty treats :flowerforyou: I have about 17lbs left to go but…

45 Days on Myfitnesspal and what I've learned
1. That losing weight in a consistent way is possible even over 40. 2. That weight loss, just like keeping track of finances, isn't magic, IT'S MATH! 3. That I CAN be in control of this. I would have quit after the first three weeks because my weight went UP(! ), but I kept going because my husband has already lost 30…
