Today, after six months and starting in the obese category, she's finally 'NORMAL' and doesnt blow up with the weight count. I really feel like I've hit a milestone even those I have a few pounds to go still. *Suedre does happy…

I broke the 2s!!!!
I did it!! I broke out of the 200 zone. I have 50 more pounds to go, but this really feels like an achievement! One factor alone (in my mind, anyway) led to my success - accountability. I logged everything that I ate --- no matter what. Now I must add the exercise component with the same accountability (I exercise now on a…

What are the 'little things' you've noticed with losing?
I just read someone celebrating that the towel goes around her with no gaps. I laugh, I would like that. I noticed a ring fit me better yesterday. What little things have you noticed????

Goal Reached, Now What?
I reached my goal today, to get below 200 lbs. Thanks MFP! I started my journey of weight loss back in the middle of January 2010, on my wife's B-day when she got the Wii Fit. I lost about 30 lbs. before I joined MFP back in April. I really needed MFP because I was leveling off and a little lost on my calorie intake. MFP…

My towel fits!
Okay I know this might not mean much to some people but I have had to use bath sheet instead of regular towels for a long time. Before I started getting focused on my health and this journey I had gotten so big that i couldn't wrap a bath sheet around my whole body. This week I have noticed that is no longer a gap between…

The boots that used to make me sad...
Okay, this past winter I bought a pair of very expensive, knee high, Timberland boots because I thought they were wide calf boots, they were not. I had ordered them on-line and the cost to ship them back was more than I was willing to spend and besides I was losing weight so I thought they might fit by this winter. I don't…

One year ago...
I started my weight loss journey. It has taken me an entire year to lose 46 pounds, and despite the fact that I didn't reach my goal in one year, I am still very proud of myself for what I have done for my body. (Gah, I hate this picture so much) August 2009 August 2010

small victories
Possibly in the category of TMI, but I've lost my moobs! (man boobs, for those who are unfamiliar with the term) I have to admit it's a small thing, NOW, but I am so thrilled! I no longer feel as though I should wear a bra and there's no bounce when I'm working out. Now if I could just lose this gut! One step at a time!

My success story :)

6 lbs down is one big achievement :)
So a few days ago, I made a post on another message board called "Help Please" and at that point I was feeling unbelievably frustrated. I had only lost 2 pounds and, being 19 and young, i thought it would happen quicker and want it to happen quicker. Then, after reading everyone's responses, I changed by diet and started…

Lost 30 pounds and 12 inches off my body in 90 days!
I sound like a television commercial sorry. But, I'm not. I'm an average guy who put his mind to something and that was the hardest part. Read my story here: (This will save me writing a novel) lol http://myfitnessguy.wordpress.com/about/ Look, I battled with weight loss for over 15 years. You are NOT alone. Please let me…

45 Pounds GONE.
Well, I did it. It's been four and a half months of complete focus and determination. Four and a half months of relearning how to eat, and re-establishing a healthy relationship to food and exercise. I feel like I've gone to school all over again. This time my degree is in nutrition, calories, exercise, and pushing the…

I am proud of me - If I say so myself!!
We own a Homemade Ice cream concession trailer - Yes, we sell homemade ice cream, strawberry shortcake, brownie sundaes, etc. This past weekend was the first event we had since I started on MFP. I went into the weekend determined to stay at my 1200 calorie mark and I succeeded (yay for me). At times I was really hungry and…

wow...
I recently found this picture of me from last July and realized it's amazing what all can change in a year if you commit to it (well, actually less than a year because I didn't even start exercising until last November). New haircut, took out my gauges and had my ears sewn up, and at the time I was in a band and was eating…

WOOHOO I'M OBESE!!!
Who would have ever thought I would be happy to be obese? At my heaviest I was 315.3 lbs and had a BMI of 51 (morbidly obese). Today I weighed in at 245.4 which makes my BMI 39.6 so I can officially stop being morbid and just be obese for a while. I'll let you all know when I'm overweight, it wont be for sometime but I…
