Today I cleaned out my closet for the 2nd time!!! Started at a 16, had to clean out at a 12-14, and again today to store my 8-10's!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! Gotta say, this could be really expensive, but I've been hitting the thrift stores like a mad woman!!!!lol I have only bought one thing at Cole's and that was a coat I just had…

Every number I go down...
...is a new number for me! The lowest number I remember myself being in recent years was189. That was about 10 years ago. I weighed in this morning at 186! I've never seen myself weigh 186, so it's exciting! I can remember at one point in about 1996 I was on a diet and I was about 170, 175. Aside from that, I have no idea…

We all have to start somewhere
Ok so I've made a choice to start being accountable for everything I eat and when I exercise and I'm going to lean on this website as my big crutch to help me get to my goal weight. So here is my before photo I am 315 pounds now and aiming for a goal of 170 pounds then I may reavaluate if I'm happy with that or want to…

Hydroxycut cycle
Well, just got done with a month of Hydroxycut. Hopefully it counts as a decent success story. I started running outside more once the month began, unfortunately I cut out a lot of the weights I had been doing, just because I've gotten so busy lately. Plan on getting back to hit 4-5 days a weeks here pretty soon. Anyways:…

Only 20 left to go but I see the light at the end of the tun
Well I have been working hard. After years of being overweight I am finally seeing the difference and the weight is staying away. I hit my highest at 265 then I dropped to 259 and then I decided I needed help. I got the lab band put in 10/5/09 and it has been a blessing. It isn't a quick fix but a tool that I have been…

What a sweet compliment!
I went out this holiday week and bought a new work wardrobe, thanks to the help of a friend. I'm down from size 18 to size 8 in just under 2 years of hard work at it (and I have at least one more to go - or to tone the arms and upper body flab, such as it may be left). Anyway, as I was sitting down to work with one of my…

Why I keep going
On Easter we went to the park there is a decent sized grass slope there and we had some moving boxes in the car and thought we'd try sliding down the slope on boxes, before I was so big I would have never tried it, felt humiliated, but on Sunday not only did I give it a try I even tried doing it standing up a few times it…

VICTORY OF THE DAY! (What's yours?)
So I've already drank my 64oz of water today!! This is huge for me because I've been getting better about drinking water, and even enjoy it most of the time, but sometimes just get sick of it. Anyway, I just wanted to boast and ask everyone.... WHAT'S YOUR VICTORY TODAY?!?

Biggest Loser
We have ended 8 weeks of the Biggest Loser at our school. Had ten people signed up and no I wasn't the biggest loser but did lose 5 lbs and am very proud of each of those. It is hard losing weight, but when doing it for the right reasons we realize how much more important it is. I lost my baby brother(age44) 2 years ago…

It is Onederful!!!
Well it has taken me 14months, but I have finally broken a couple of major milestones and I had to share. I have now lost over 100lbs, and I have entered the 100’s (now 198lbs)! The last 12lbs I had to lose to reach these milestones were the hardest by far. Between Christmas, medication changes (my thyroid meds had to be…

Best Easter ever
So for those of u who know me I said I was returning home for the first time home in 3 months and I was very anxious to see if my parents noticed a difference as I hadn't told them I was on a diet. Well, when I arrived at the train station my dad literally stood there with his jaw open wide going bloody hell how much…

My 1st big success!
I've been on MFP for 3 months today and I just this week hit over 30 lbs lost! I'm so excited! There have definitely been some rough days and I'm trying hard to learn how to eat more natural foods but so far so good. This 1st hurdle gives me so much more motivation to keep going and reach my goal!

JENNIFER HUDSON LOOKS AMAZING!!
Check her out. She has come a long way but only in a few short months. It is rumored that she is 5'9 and 140-145 lbs now but she doesn't look 145 lbs for someone of her height. Either way, she looks great!! An inspiration!…

I did it!
I went down a whole size! At least! I didn't think it would ever happen because I was barely able to cram myself in my old pants (size 18) before starting this diet. But it finally did. I was scared to try on clothes again, afraid that despite everything I would still be the same size I've been for a while now. But here I…

Progress Pictures...Yeah!
OK I was going to wait until I hit the 30lb mark but I weighed this morning and gained a pound so I am going to go ahead and post these for motivation because I have come a long way as far as how I look in these!

Future Success....
I'm not there yet, but I'm envisioning pretty strongly this mental image of me in some sort of swimwear this summer, sitting either on the sand or on a lounge chair with my toes pointed toward open water...kinda like a Corona commercial. I just want to take this picture of me from what I see when I look down in a few more…

I reached it....
My first "big" goal that is!!! I finally made it to 160.6 from 204.8!! I am so happy today, so I just wanted to share my joy and to remind everyone to keep pushing for what you want because with hard work comes great success and when you feel like you can't prove to yourself that you can!!! I never believed in myself…

Mental success
Even though I am sure the scale will say it is up today as well it is that middle of the month time that gives me trouble and I ate a bit too much salt this weekend but..... I worked out hard every day this week, ate mostly right and had a good attitude during it all. Mental positiveness is 90% of it for me. I wish it…

I have pretty much done it
I have just 2 lbs to go until my goal. I set my goal based off of what I weighed when I got married 8 years ago. Last night I tried on a blue formal gown I wore our honeymoon on our cruise through the Caribbean and it fit perfectly. I feel great that I have accomplished this. However, why stop here. Perhaps I should lose…

Lost my first 20lbs!
I'm so excited to lose the first 20lbs! It was my "major mini goal" in the beginning of this journey. I figured if i can get to 20 that should motivate me to keep going and lose the rest. Well... here i am! I lost 20 and now i'm ready to lose more! I'm very excited about it and i'm looking forward to continuing this…

200.4 and a new bra
Ah the simple things. Today I stepped on the scale to see 200.4. I've been trying not to think about the big milestone of being under 200, but it definately brought a smile to my face. Once I hit 199 that will mark 25 pounds lost. I'm just trying to keep up my pace, but not obsess over it. The thing I was actually more…

Fitting in those old clothes!
I started my new job on the 1st of March and of course had to go and buy new clothes because all the ones I had hanging in my closet didnt fit. Found myself wearing sweats and bigger t-shirts most of the time. I have had to go and buy new clothes twice because the new ones no longer fit after my 40 pound weight loss in 2…

For everyone on the "quit smoking" movement
Hi everyone! First of all...congrats to those of you quitting! I quit Oct 14, 2009. I will always remember that date. I had tried quitting numerous times without success. The longest I ever went was 10 months...didn't want to smoke during pregnancy. I returned to smoking as soon as I was able to return to work. My mother…

How to stop losing?! LOL
Well I went past my goal. I have lost 49 lbs! I went from 172 to 123! My goal was 125. I had to op my calories by 600 the last 2 days and for some reason instead of "Maintaining my weight", I keep losing!!! Why?!!! I guess I may have to weight a couple days and see what happens. If I keep losing, I may have to up my…

Almost there
To date I have lost 20 pounds. I have tried to lose for a long time but I finally said enough is enough. Better eating habits and a daily exercise routine was the key for me. Eating every 4 hours and not having that hunger feeling is GREAT. I have so much more energy. The only thing that concerns me is how little of time it…
