Back into it!
So I finally updated my Ticker to reflect what I actually weighed when I started MFP; not what I weighed at my first weigh-in (only 5 lbs more, but still--the visual progress on the Ticker is powerful!). That, plus what I've lost this week, is really building back my belief that maybe...just maybe...I will someday see the…

hanging on to old clothes
My dad has always gotten amusement when women hang on to old clothes like their "skinny jeans" for when they fit into them again. He doesn't understand having a lot of clothes anyway, much less a closet full that you cannot wear anymore and seemingly will never wear again. Well I just feel the need to tell him today that…

Buying smaller sizes
When I went to the track to see the NASCAR race last weekend, I of course had to buy a shirt as a souvenir. I picked a Tony Stewart #20 hoodie, and I bought a large because that's the size I wear in most jackets and shirts. Well, it's a mile too big on me! But I love having that problem:bigsmile: and I bought a brand new…

Better than I thought
I lost 3 more lbs. this past month. I didn't expect it because I fell off the wagon quite a bit but always jumped back on. I sure am thrilled to see it though. I also just signed up at the gym and will be working out A LOT more now.

I wanted to put a note here from edie:) She is off and running with her husband and hasn't been able to really get involved in the forum. I wanted to share her success with you gals though because she has benefited so much from this site. She uses the charts and she walks with me(or I walk with her) …

A New Start - 45 pounds gone!
It is about time for me to say hello. I have been a member of MFP since February 17th. In that time I have lost 45 pounds (check out some of my before and after pictures). It has been a slow but VERY motivating experience. I have been working out 6 days a week since February. Slim in 6, 30 day shred, P90X, recumbent bike…

Where I am at 6 weeks!
I honestly thought I was not going to move the scales this week! Not because I wasn't doing anything, but because of how I felt! I always weigh in after exercise and shower on my weigh in days and this morning I stepped on the scale and I was down 1.8lbs! Stepped on it again...:noway: same thing!!! I'm so excited as that…

20 POUNDS GONE.. NEVER TO RETURN!
So I'm not as active on the boards as I once was, but I still am here working away entering my foods and exercise etc... I had to toot my own horn today - I finally hit the 20 pound mark! What's kindof cool is I actually hit it on Sunday morning... which was my twin girls' 3rd birthday... I thought that was appropriate...…

Great Day!
A year ago this would not have been possible but: Tonight is my "big" workout day. I have three hours planned at the gym. I'll do a 30 minute light walk on the treadmill to warm up, do 60 minutes of strenght training with my PT, take 30 minutes of cardio dance class (just for the fun of it) and then a 60 minutes step…

Woohoo 5 down!
Got on the scale this morning and I'm down 5 pounds in 3 weeks. From previous experience I know this rate won't last but it still feels pretty damn good already. I have more energy, I'm sleeping better, and I'm starting to see a good curve back at my waist.

In 11 days I've lost 4 lbs
I finally went back to see when I started eating my "exercise" calories. I started this whole deal on Oct. 6th but did not start losing regularly until November 9. It was that day I wrote a post whining about not losing anything, LOL:bigsmile:  and darlin kerri asked me if I was eating my exercise calories. I I…

It CAN be done!! 25 pounds gone!
I cannot believe I have lost 25 pounds. When I set forth to change my lifestyle in June I figured it was going to be like all the other times, false start out of the gate. I know that MFP is the only difference between the other times and now. Seeing my food intake, exercise burned and weight loss charts is encouraging.…

Ok, so after a bit of a struggle to get back online, I have been logging everything religiously again for the past week and I weighed in 1lb less on the scales this week - YIPPEE - which means 27lbs lost in total and I am now back on track to lose some more by christmas. Does anyone else have weight goals for xmas or the…

What an awesome night!
Last night was the Toys for Tots Guitar Jam at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. It was absolutely FABULOUS! I had a blast seeing Carolina Rain, Lee Brice (he winked at me!), Jason Michael Carroll, Darryl Worley, and Leann Womack! In ticket sales alone over $10,000 was raised to help children in western NC have a very…

I am gonna sign up for a…

So My husband and I have to fancy holiday events we have been invited to. One this coming Saturday is local city mayors ball and the second is a big shindig hosted by three generals on the military base we live near. Hello all, been six months since I last logged in here
The last weight I recorded then was 168.6 pounds, down from 189 six months before. Today I dragged out the scales for the first time in six months. 168.8. I have kept most of my new, healthy habits. Walking a bit less than before, and not eating as many veggies as I should, but I am maintaining. I even have the occasional…

I'm not there yet, but. . .
I am proud of where I have made it to! I feel more healthy in my body and mind than I ever have. As far as pure numbers go, I've gone from a size 42 to a size 34 in men's pants, and from an XL to a M shirt size. To me though, it's so much more than the numbers - I am actually starting to really feel /healthy/ and…
