Hello MFP friend, I like to take care of others, but easily forget about my own needs. Time to change some of these habits! I used MFP before and remember it as a nice community and looking for people to connect with, as I deleted my account in the past and created a new one today. If you like to encouraging each other, to…

Influencers and conflicting recommendations
Ever notice fitness influencers will say one thing then another says the opposite? “Lift heavy” “Lift light” “100 push-ups a day are good” “100 push-ups a day are bad” What have you noticed?

Searching for Recipes
1. Is there a way to search for recipes? Simply browsing through Discovery is cumbersome and annoying. 2. 2. Once I locate a recipe, is there a way to add to My Diary for a future date-then have that entry actually link to the recipe? I plan meals ahead of time, but often have trouble locating the recipe on tge day I…

New Week's Resolution - Week 13
Welcome to the first week of the rest of your life! Now seems like a perfect time to select a New Week's Resolution. What is a New Week's Resolution? It's exactly the same as a New Year's Resolution, with two important distinctions: it only lasts for one week, and you can start one any time you want, rather than just once…

Hello, I’m New
So far I’m not going over the calorie limit. But finding it challenging to meet Macros. Missing the good ole days in the Army when some baked chicken, pack of tuna, a salad, and lifting weights was enough. Messages of motivation or simple recipes are welcome :) Good luck to all of you!

Alcohol to Budweiser zero to Diet sundrop
So, I quit drinking alcohol 2 weeks ago. I drink sodas, water, and diet soda. Also drinking budweiser zero which has zero alcohol but are 50 cals...How do I kick the soda, diet soda habit? Should I use those drink packets that go in bottled water? I have at least 65 pounds to lose, would be better if I lost 100.

Ceviche from a can?
First post so please be nice! So, hear me out: I was hungry but did not want to order out and the pantry had some salty girl snacks. I grabbed the can of mixed seafood and sardines, chopped cilantro, onions, tomato and celery, juiced half a lemon, a dash of Trader Joe’s mushroom seasoning and voilá. The picture is not cute…

Can someone recommend a multivitamin that doesn't low blood sugar?
Multivitamins and excercise trigger my hypoglycemia leading me to overindulge in sugars and carbs. I have upped my protein. Incidence has reduced but it still happens.

A quick note of encouragement for maintainers
I haven't posted in years, but wanted to drop in and give some encouragement to those in maintenance, especially those who've newly arrived. A lot of the focus on the boards goes - understandably - to losing weight, and the lifelong task of maintenance can get some short-shrift. Some of this, though, may be because people…

I’d love to join you!
I’m just starting up, again, and really want to stick with it. I did WW, in person, and lost 35+#, but that’s not an option now. Menopause slid my weight up to ~177#, and ideally I should be ~135#. Im 62, and need to do it slow n steady so I don’t burn up my muscle rather than fat. Here goes - starting journaling foods,…

Weight lifting and chronic pain
Hi everyone, As I am getting older I feel more committed to building muscle through free weight training and body weight exercises. I have always struggled with chronic muscle pain in my upper back and neck. When I work my upper body I often go through days of intense muscle pain, and often tension headaches. Does anyone…
