Looking for best app to build exercise routine
Looking for a favorite app that will help me build an exercise routine that also shows how to do the exercise, reps etc. The research is sending me down a rabbit hole. Right now I'm walking but I know I should add more. I have worked with a trainer in the past, but can't afford that any longer. Any advice would be helpful.…

Connecting C25K to MFP
So I didn't think I was an idiot. Within the C25K app, I can't seem to find anywhere to create the connection. The settings menu is just very basic stuff. The app apparently doesn't have a web presence in the same way MapMyFitness does, so no dice there. On MyFitnessPal, the apps section of the site has a button for…

I need supportive gym shoes for running. I took a friends advice and decided to start interval training to build up to full on extended running. I've been using my normal gym shoes for power walking and cardio classes but...they are cheap and no longer supportive. Does anyone know of any affordable brands that have good…

New (used) tandem kayak, loving the workout
I just bought a 14.5' Wilderness Pamlico 135T on CL. I replaced all the nylon webbing and bungee, removed the cleats (kept hitting my hands on them) and cleaned it up. I love this workout. First day went along the creek and cut my hands up on the the cleats. Got her all fixed up, went out today and had a great workout.…

What to do after 30 day shred?
I've struggled with weight a long time. Years ago I had a very good moment where I lost about 20 Kg eating well and exercising. One thing I did then was follow the 30 day shred videos. I'm now trying to watch what I eat and have just finished the 30 day shred videos again (although it took me longer than 30 days because…

Broken Leg Blues
I'm a fairly active person who normally eats pretty healthy, but I ran into a bit of a snag this week since I broke my tibia! Has anyone been through this before? How did you keep up fitness/prevent becoming one with the couch as you recovered from the injury? I know I've got at least 6-8 weeks until I can walk again so…

Do you have to "tone up" while losing weight, or can you do it after?
Just wondering about loose skin and lack of muscle tone. Some people seem to lose weight and have tight, toned bodies with lovely bodies, while others don't. I'm 33 this year, and have been overweight since I was about 16. I have had a large stomach since childhood. I now have bingo wings as well. I would like to lose…

VO2max / aerobic fitness and seasonal allergies
So this is a stab in the dark, but perhaps someone here has a relevant experience. The long story: Based simply on the number of hours of exercise I do, I think I can call myself a runner  I've been running since November 2019. Very, very slowly at first (at the start of my weight loss). For a long time I kept…

Will I ever run fast again?
Hi! I am a woman in her early 40s. I was sporty and competitive into my teens but have only done run-of-the-mill / occasional exercise ever since (think gyms, classes etc). Just wondering if there are any fellow Vertical Climber owners here? We bought ours about a year ago and for sure it is a challenging workout! When we first got it I could only do a minute at best. Any fellow living kidney donors lifting weights out there?
On April 10, I donated a kidney to my cousin. Because of a cosmetic complication I had to have an extra surgery, which extended my recovery period, ending May 29. This means that I cannot lift more than 10 lbs until later this month. While my doctors assured me that lifting heavy weights after the donation wouldn't be an…

Does samsung health double count calories?
A steps calorie adjustment from samsung health is synced to mfp and also my exercise from recorded runs on samsung health. Is this double counting because both are step related? Or does it take that into account in calorie adjustment?
