Not Too Sweet Fiber Bars?
I'm not really a sweets person & I like getting a good store brand fiber bar (basically a generic version of Fiber One Oats & Caramel bars.) Was wondering if anyone can suggest other high fiber bars that aren't too sweet & around 140cals or less. Thanks in advance!

Eating more to lose more - TESTIFY HERE!
I've read the threads about TDEE and BMR and how important it is not to eat below a certain number if you want to lose weight, okay. Now I want to hear how many of you guys actually experienced this phenomenon firsthand - little to no weightloss eating less, and faster, more consistent weight loss eating more. How much…

Starting this week I will be adding broccoli to every meal each Monday! This is my way of getting my eating habits off to a healthy start at the beginning of each week (after frequently indulging in less healthy foods over the weekend). Who wants to join me? The challenge is to add broccoli to every single meal today!…

If I haven't lost it already... I have no idea how to measure meats.. I went to Albertson's and bought a package of 6 "Pork Loin Top Loin Chops" When I searched for the calories on them, it said 60 calories in 1 oz.. 1 oz? Idk how to weigh it to 1 oz, 2 oz, 3 oz, 4 oz, 5 oz, so on, etc. etc. So forth.. Is 1 oz one pork…

Mildly annoyed at lack of potassium data..
So I read all over these forums about sodium/potassium and started taking one potassium supplement a day because my amounts are always super low. But then saw that because food companies are not required to supply that data, I may not even need the supplement! It's a little frustrating to not really know how much I'm…

Can we talk about Shakeology?
I have tried it and it is yummy - but for $100/mth it is not in my budget these days. I love Tony Horton and P90X and all of the programs associated with it - but do you really need to have a meal replacement shake and is it something that helps you with your progress? Or is it more beneficial to take that $100/mth and put…

How to deal with cravings/ binging?
I have a bad problem with this. Especially with cheese. Applewood smoked cheddar is the devil. I've tried waiting 15 minutes and drinking water and even eating other foods but it doesn't work. What do you guys do?

Multivitamin suggestions?
Hey everyone! I'm a 23 year old female and looking to get a good multivitamin to supplement my eating. I know we should be getting our vitamins from our food, but I want to be sure to cover all the bases! Any suggestions? I used to take women's one a day...not sure if I want that again or something different?

Sweet Potato vs Normal, yellow potato
I'm thinking of trying to switch (not completly but as often as I can) from the yellow potatoes to sweet potatoes. Because I think I have heard that they are healthier for you. And the way I usually eat them is just roasted in the oven with skin and without ANY added salt. So yummy! Is this true? And if so what are other…

Sodium! Aggravation and questions
I know this has probably been covered relentlessly in the forums (and I did do a sodium search to see if anyone posted anything like this recently), but isn't it just insane how much sodium is in food? What is really pissing me off is how much they can vary between brand, if it is light or full fat, etc... For example:…

Confessions of a Carboholic....
I just can't help it, I love carbs. Well, not ALL carbs (I don't like rice or pasta), but my two favorite foods that takes extreme willpower to pass up are popcorn and toast (or pretty much any bread)....in that order. Potato chips/snack chips and crackers would vie for 3rd. I also think I may have an allergy to carbs…

For the love of Creatine (pic)
Hi all Started on Creatine about two weeks ago. I was a little worried about bloating etc but no problems so far. I feel like I have a little more power in the gym and have improved my deadlift a smidge. Anyway I wanted to shamelessly share this picture of the (rest day) 'pump' I'm seeing in my arms. They are a bit bigger…

Sugar in fruit...how concerned should I be?
How concerned should I be with the amount of sugar contained in fruit? Whenever I have a fruit or two it drives up my sugar total for the day and I exceed my recommended limits. Should I not worry so much about these sugars as long as I am not eating too much refined/processed sugary snacks? Thanks!

Amazing salty tangy spicy big pickles
OK, so, I'm not sure if these things are well known everywhere but there are these big(say.. 4 or 5 inch long) pickles/spicy pickles sometimes in jars at convience stores or in individual bags at the grocery mart. I seriously can't get enough of the spicy ones and I wanted to hear MFP's consensus on these snacks, hell I…

Brown Rice vs Quinoa
I tried quinoa for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. I was especially pumped up because I was under the impression it had quite a lot of protein in it. However, when I entered it in to my food diary, the nutritional info wasn't much different than brown rice. Am I missing something? To me it just seems like a…

Konjac (which i know as konyaku) - sharing a tip!

Ladies Question: Aunt Flo (oh my!)
I wanted to have some input or suggestions on what you all do around the time of the month when it comes to intake? 2000 calories a day
I've calculated my TDEE etc and to lose I need to eat 2000 calories a day. That in itself sounds scary enough so I was wondering if anyone has an open diary and is consuming similar amounts. I'm currently doing Insanity although I don't lift weights or anything and I'm guessing most people's diaries that eat that no of…
