Under eating
Hey Guys I am struggling to eat over 1200 Cal per day, but seem to be eating a balanced amount of breakfast lunch and supper. I am also not loosing any weight, dispute being just above 1200 per day (I am very careful not to eat under this for the fear of starvation mode). Is there a chance that I should be eating less than…

Is 2200 calories too much?!
On the fat2fit website (which has been recommended by many), I calculated my Body fat %, my BMR, and my Goal weight. I chose moderate activity because I workout (usually intense cardio) for at least 40-60 minutes a day 5+ times a week. However it says I should be eating 2220 calories!! I've been eating 1200 for a while…

how to count cals in fried foods?
So my husband started making these "chicken bites" which are basically boneless skinless chicken breast lightly rolled in flour and deep fried. how do you account for the fact that they are fried and not baked? I also have jalapeno poppers that have the option to bake or fry. let's face it those suckers taste better fried.…

Pro Oxy Elite
One of my associates told me about a pill he had taken that helped him lose 6lbs in a few days. Now I know what you're saying, that's not healthy... I didn't notice a change in his body because he was already pretty fit but another guy we were talking with said he could tell his neck was smaller, both of these guys are gym…

Breakfast cereal?
I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. This has spilled over into my breakfasts. I prefer eating quick foods like cereal for breakfast when I can (I have to leave for work at 6:30), but my normal cereal choices are things like Froot Loops. I hate to say this, but I have no idea what healthy cereals are out there, besides the ones I…

To the Paleo Folk Here ...
If there's anyone that has been here for a few years, you may recall a user named Johnny Null (roughly two years ago?), who was convinced that the Paleo shtick was complete nonsense. I have returned to apologize for being so very wrong. I will try to keep this as brief as I can, while still covering the main points. I had…

9 Simple Tricks to Eat Less
From: http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutrition_articles.asp?id=1386 They're pretty simple, but not so "tricky" These are obvious, and said many times before (shouldn't be anything new here). Also, I think some will disagree with some of these. 1. Enjoy (savor) every bite. 2. Use smaller bowls and plates. 3.…

Toronto Friends - Need Suggestions!!

Confession from someone that can't lose weight.
Yep. I was one of those special snowflakes. I used several popular sites to calculate my TDEE/BMR, all that whosit. At 6'7, 233lbs, 32 year old male I came up with: 2900 calories TDEE 2300 calories BMR. I ate back all my excercise calories (heart rate monitor) and netted a "loss" of 500 calories consistently at a minimum.…

Good Fat vs. Bad Fat
What is considered good fat? Today I had 15g Total Fat. The daily summary narrows it down as 1g Saturated, 1g Polyunsaturated, 3g Monounsaturated and 0g Trans. Those only add up to 5g of fat, where does the rest come from? What kind of fat should I avoid? Thanks in advance.
