Popeyes chicken without the skin is OK to eat, right?
As long as I take the skin of the chicken it should be ok ,right? Plus I have the side of green beans (that's good right?) So I have convinced myself its a healthy trade off , of tasting good and being good/ok for me. :-) I'm still working on the argument to explain how eating the skin after I have finished the chicken is…

Potato confusion
Why do potatoes have more calories when you boil them compared to when you microwave them? Apparently the same size potato has 100 more cals if I boil it rather than microwave it. Of course it will weigh more because it will absorb the water, but it's just water...

Some assistance with food weight/calories please?
So, instead of a traditional breakfast today, I had 2 potato samosas from Whole Foods, but I don't see them listed. Not the potato ones I had anyways! I see the ones from the box, which I assume are too high calorie, and vegetable ones, but I'm not sure if they're the same. The total net weight was 5oz. The ones listed as…

Creature of Habit.... Unfortunately most are bad
Hello Everyone, I wanted to take a moment to get some feedback and/or suggestions as to how I can determine the nutritional impact on my favorite lunch restaurant. Nauseous after eating?
Has anyone ever eaten something, and gotten super nauseous after the fact? I had some costwold cheese earlier, and I've felt so nauseous since. I made salmon and cooked millet for dinner and haven't been able to bring myself to eat it. I've brushed my teeth/had water to try and get rid of the cheese (which I, er, keep sort…

Lean Body Mass (LBM) & macros - Have I got this right?
Here's the big AHA for me recently: Your protein & fat intake should be based on your lean body mass (LBM), which doesn't change much no matter how much weight you lose. Protein calories = 1g per pound of LBM Fat calories = 1/2g per pound of LBM If you set those as daily targets, the only variable left is carbs. As you…

I mean doesn't it give you energy to go out and do things like work out? And help keep you awake without having to rely on…

Evening Snacks?
I have a terrible sweet tooth, and often feel like the day is not 'done' until I've had something sweet after dinner. Protein powder on a college budget!
Well I never thought I'd see the day I was going to buy protein powder. I always associated it with the no neck goofballs that constantly bolstered the "GET BIG!"
