Goal Weight & Marathon Training
Hello! I am the heaviest (and widest) I’ve ever been and I’m on a low carb/IF method of getting down to 150 pounds. I’m also training for the Air Force Marathon so it gives me plenty of time to get back in shape and ready (it’s in September 2022). I have done a half marathon but this will be my first marathon, so I’m…

Is it real?
I have a question for the ladies. Menopause... is it real? I could say the sudden weight gain around my mid-section is menopause, or I could say it's due to falling off track with exercise and nutrition, or both? I never had kids. A few years ago I got a hot flash or two, but that was it. No menopause-type symptoms to…

RX Weight Loss Meds (Phentermine)
Hi there! I started Phentermine for significant weight loss on March 4, 2021. As of today, I am down 90 lbs. I am super worried that when I go off the meds (doc said about 2 more months), that I will gain a crap ton back, even though my healthy habits seem great and pretty steady right now. My doctor said if I don't…

What do you do when it’s bust…
You over eat or don’t stay on game. Do you just “full stop-that’s all I was allowed today” or do you moderate intake, throw it all out the window? Basically I’m looking for helpful strategy (I seem to do this 2-3 times a week) BUT I get some of us are still working on that 😂

I’m back 😊

Logging exercise
My exercise of choice is walking. Well, it'd really be chewing but let's face it, it doesn't work as well. Anyways, trying to figure calories burned when it's not quite a hike but part of it is, lots of uphill/downhill in my town, actual hiking trails plus street walking. Iphone says 1 hour and 2.5 miles but dang, all the…

How long did it take you to lose 25 pounds?
Obviously, I know weight loss varies from person to person in terms of how fast one loses weight, and losing too fast can be a bit unhealthy. But out of curiosity, how long has it taken all of you out there to lose 25 lbs?

Added exercise calories to total calorie intake
How do y’all feel about when you exercise the apps takes into account how much calories you burned during your workout it and adds it to the total number of calories you consume for the day? Wouldn’t this defeat the purpose of weight loss?

How do I stop myself from failing?
I gained weight during COVID lockdowns - about 15kg (35ish pounds) so I now weigh in at 70kg (155 pounds). When I was at my happiest weight-wise I was around 55kg (120 pounds) so would really like to get back to that. I'm only 158cm (5foot3ish) so the extra weight is quite obvious and its mainly in my arms and stomach.…

New moms- workout and food planing.
Good day! What are the best tips for new moms or to say on the postpartum to get "back" in shape(better than before pregnancy in my case)? Now, what are the calorie requirements and deficits for moms that don't breastfeed? Do I have to consider something before I follow the basics of weight loss tactics as a woman in…

Quick question
So when I set my mfp calories to maintainence, I get an allowance of 1874 calories. When I set them to lose 0.25lbs per week, I get an allowance of 1574. This means if I eat 1574 kcals daily, I will be in a deficit of 300kcals per day, right? And when I eat 1600kcals I am still in deficit, right? So lets say if I eat…

I have been on infinite failed attempts trying to lose weight. And most of the times i failed was because my weight wouldn't go down from 79kg. I don't remember the last time i saw 78kg on the scale. So I've been eating healthier and working out more and I'm not seeing a difference. What should I do? How long is it going to take before I start seeing results?

Who is planning some modified indulgence on Mother's Day?
I've been recently diagnosed with diabetes and (not recently) high cholesterol. I've done well over the past couple of months, but am hungry for bacon. Voila.... for Mother's Day, my hubby and I will have a Cobb Salad to satiate that hunger for salad and bacon, together.
