need help on determining if I'm leisurely, moderately or briskly walking
Trying to accurately record my exercise minutes in my exercise diary on MFP. If I'm walking between 17 and 20 minute miles is that considered leisurely, moderately or briskly walking? I've looked online and am now more confused b/c age has something to do with it, too. I'm thinking it's either leisurely or moderately.…

does anyone’s face get fatter with only 1 or 2 pound weight gain?
i’m just wondering if this is normal or if it’s in my head. i fell off track for a few weeks and i gained 3lbs (some of that is water weight i think) and my double chin was a lot more noticeable in comparison to now after being on track for a week

Look for Accountability.
I feel like the reason I slip on my health journey is due to accountability. It’s real easy to fall off the wagon when there isn’t someone there to check in with and discuss the hard challenges that you come across everyday. It also feels like a small accomplishment when there is no one to celebrate them with.

Gained Weight During Quarantine
Hi all! I recently joined My Fitness Pal (I was on SparkPeople but it looks like this is a better tool). I've stuggled with weight gain my entire life, but was finally able to sustain a 30-40 pound weight loss starting a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it was completely undone by quarantine, through a combination of…

Major weight fluctuations within a few days
So it seems like every weekend I have this weird occurrence. I also know it’s not healthy to weight yourself more than once a week, but sometimes it’s just hard not to. On mondays I weight myself, and the scale will say 5lbs more than it weighed on Monday. I don’t always eat the best foods on the weekend, but I tend to…

No progress on my face
I have been dieting for about 2 months now, and have lost 6 kg/12 lb, and I see no progress whatsoever on my face, even in pictures, and others don't as well. My height is 5'5, and my starting weight was 66.7 kg, and now it is 60.9 kg. I have major problem with my face because it has too much fat on it, and I wasn't even…

Working out my PAL
Just started logging food and exercise and find it fascinating. One thing I'm struggling to get my head around is the daily activity level you input when creating your profile. I guess it doesn't matter which level I put it at, as I have two questions a) should it include exercise or just daily activity? b) do I then add…

Sucralose and/or good electrolyte drinks.
I imagine there are threads and this is probably redundant. Science seems to change daily. I tried some sparkling water drinks but they have sucralose. I feel far better drinking them and wonder if I lack the potassium and pantothenic acid? Suggestions on healthier waters if sucralose is bad?

Gaining weight but clothes are loose???
Hi, I stepped on the scale this morning and I've put on 6lb in 3 weeks!!! Absolutely devastated, however recently people have commented how thinner I look and I fit into 3 pairs of trousers that when I was this weight 2 months ago I didn't. Really confused, any idea why I've gained weight but can fit into clothes that were…

Which weight tracker app do you prefer?
I'm looking to start tracking my weight daily and was wondering if people had a preference for a certain app and why? I'm wanting to look at patterns and trends and get a better idea of what my body is doing. I'm a 30 year old female and currently weigh 252lbs if any of that matters. 😊

Need help setting goals for Grams of Sugar and % of Carbs
How many grams of sugar for a 2300 calorie diet? I can find information on "added sugar" but that doesn't help me with logging my foods in the application. My glucose is a "little high" and my doctor told me to reduce my sugar and carbs. I'm guessing 70 grams of sugar and 40% carbs. Both are a wild guess. Input would be…

Thank You, MFP
I just want to say Thank You to UnderArmour for hosting the MFP boards, and to all the volunteer mods and the people who take the time to post brilliant, helpful, intuitive, informative, inspiring, and often funny posts. I was reflecting (literally- I was staring at my naked self in a full length mirror) this morning. I…

Anyone on levlen/Eleanor for Endo?
So I’ve just been diagnosed with Endo and my dr has put me on Eleanor/Levlen. I’m scared to gain weight but I’m more scared of reviews online. My doctor assured me that the majority of her clients don’t have issues with it. Anyone have any experience with Levlen and weight gain and other side effects?

Low-impact cardio everyday?
So I've been doing the elliptical everyday this week and I really enjoy it. Where I'm only doing 20-30 minutes a day, is it ok to keep it as a daily routine? It has been nice to just have some me time while also feeling like I'm improving myself. Eventually I'll work in some strength training, but for now 20-30 min is all…

Rising above the want
Ok, so I'm a binge-eater. If it's in the house, I eat it, whether I really want it or not. For about 2-3 months I fell hard off the wagon, really hard. I got into the habit of buying a pint of ice cream 1-2 times a week and devouring it in one night, among all the other junk food I was eating. When I fall off the wagon, I…

How to explain this to hubby?
Long story short, I’ve been away from my husband since Feb due to COVID - taking care of elderly parents out of state. In that time, I have not only reached 2 pounds under my ultimate goal weight, but I’m aiming for another 2-3 lb loss. I know when i head back home next week it will be like a mini-honeymoon, but I know the…

building/retaining muscle with tendonitis and arthritis
I'm hoping to find some good info from people who have the issues I've mentioned. I've been doing walks (about 5 days a week, just 2 miles a day. I am wanting to lose just about 14 lbs, but also build muscle. I have my own weight equipment here at home. I stopped the weights about 2 months ago because I have developed…

Logging dinner?
Hey! My neighbor runs a small meal prep business out of her home. I ordered today for the first time. She does a great job and my first meal was delicious, but I’m not sure of the calorie count or how to log it. She follows a diet called Ideal Protein, so for her customers who also follow that program, she includes (in the…

Weight Fluctuations
Hello all- I was just wondering if this was normal. Yesterday I weighed in at 161. Today when I checked, I weighed 164 again! >.< Is that much of a fluctuation normal? Did I really gain that much weight in a day?? Also, I didn’t eat breakfast yet when I weighed myself yesterday, but I did today. Thank you!

How has your weight changed over your adulthood?
So, the average American adult gains on average 1-2 pounds per year from their 20s to their 50s. How does that compare with you? For me, when I graduated high school I was 145 pounds. By the time I turned 30 I was 245, an average of 8.3 pounds gained per year. I started trying to lose weight, watching my calorie intake and…
