Hair loss with 18:6 IF?
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 50 yrs old and know how much hair is typically in the drain when I take a shower. For 3 months I was doing IF and eating enough calories to be losing a reasonable amount per week...1-1.5 lbs. But there was about twice as much hair in the drain. I have lost weight before at this rate…

Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat
Can someone help explain to me what these are and if they’re good or bad? I go over a bit on these two every day. I’ve read they are considered the “good” kind of fat, but then I see MFP highlight them in red when I'm over. 🤔🤔

Is it too late to reverse the damage?
I am nearly 26 and currently weigh 205 pounds. I have already lost 29 pounds and am going to keep going until I reach my goal weight of around 150 pounds. I have been overweight since I was about 20 and have been reading up a lot in the effects of being obese. I never really paid attention but am now aware of the increased…

Sweet Sweat... here we go...
Okay so I KNOW waist trainers do nothing more than get rid of water weight and that they are not ridding of actual fat but I am a mom of 4 and all were cesareans. I have a large kangaroo pouch and when I work out it jiggles a lot. Would a waist trainer help someone like me not only control my belly movement during exercise…

Can someone check my understanding of the math behind calories and exercise?
Hi all, I'm actually an on again, off again user of myfitnesspal. I would say that there was a time I was pretty religious about logging my food intake, but the results were not good. I must've signed on and quit about 3-4 times in the last 6-7 years. Maybe my understanding of weight loss math was all wrong, so can someone…

Obsessed with weighing myself
Ok, call me crazy, but I didn’t start my diet out knowing exactly what I weigh. I weighed myself a few week ago (Weeks prior to starting my diet) and I was 160.2. When I dieted previously I would become obsessed with weighing myself. I’d start out weighing weekly, then started weighing myself daily. Sometimes twice I day.…

FOOD!
I have seen so many "diets" in so many adverts. Celebrities banging on about paleo this, low carb that or less fat the other. After looking into countless "plans" I have come to the conclusion that it is all so much guff! I believe that my goal should not rule out any of the awesome foods that I know and love (I'm looking…

I am a 19 y/o female, 5'5, and currently 127 lbs. For the past 3 years, I had maintained my weight at around 110 lbs, but college made me gain weight. I hit 120 this January (gained 10 lbs in the span of 4 months) and simply wanted to lose that last 10 pounds. From January to the end of February I started eating at 1200…

Need Help With My Caloric Intake For Weight Loss
Hey there. I have been using MFP for the last 124 days and I've lost around 50 pounds in that time frame. I started out eating 1580 calories a day for a 2lb weight loss a week. At first things were great. I lost every week with no issue whatsoever. Around the middle of June I started to notice my weight loss slowing down.…

High in fats but within calorie range
I am having trouble keeping my fats down although I’m staying within my calorie range. For instance Great Value Frozen Broccoli cups are listed at 9 grams per cup. I had 3 cups for dinner. Mediterranean Crunch salad is listed at 10 grams of fat per cup. I had 2 cups for lunch. My daily intake is only 56 grams of fat. What…

How long do your scale batteries last?
I've had the same scale for several years now, and I really like it. It is simple and precise enough to not annoy me. I assume it is fairly accurate too, but don't have a way to judge that currently. However, it eats batteries like there's no tomorrow. I weigh once daily, and generally need to replace the scale batteries…

Huh? My pants are looser..My scale is the same.
I think "looser" is a word, Is my fat shifting? One week in MFP. Calorie counting. Maybe I am "Mind Melding" my own fat into a different area. Can you not lose weight but fit differently into your clothes? I am maintaining. I guess that is at least something.

Trying to accept being bigger and healthy.
I am currently 5’2 and 162 pounds. I recently had bloodwork done at my physical and all of my labs were good (cholesterol and LDL very low, HDL very high) and my calculated cardiac risk ratio was below the average person. However, my BMI right now is technically “obese” and it’s driving me crazy. I don’t want to be obese…

Finally had a whoosh!
After being in a deficit from 2nd May till now I’ve finally dropped a massive 4 lbs after my weight seemed to have stalled. Even though it didn’t look like it all: In 17 weeks I’ve…

Any tips for further progress?
Hey guys, So I’ve been committed to my weight loss for just over 2 months now and I’ve lost about 10kg, 103kg to 93. However the last 2 weeks my weight has been shuffling around 92.5kg-93.6kg. So I feel like I’ve possibly reached a plateau, I aim to workout ever 2nd day, where I do about a 30 minute cycle with a mix of…

Meal Replacement Shakes
Hi! I just started my most recent weight loss journey yesterday. I chose to do meal replacement protein shakes. So far I found that 1% milk makes them so much tastier. Using water wasn’t for me. Should I switch to something with less calories? Or is 1% milk ok? Also, on top of the protein shakes, I’m eating healthy…
