Some advice and encouragment
Hey everyone! I am having a difficult time with my diet. I started in November and then toward the end of last month I had a cheat day. I have not been able to get back on track for about three weeks now and I am really starting to feel it. I feel so disappointed in my self. I really need to lose weight. Does anyone have…

Ideal weights?
I currently have my goal set for 140. The skinniest I was has been 130 when I was 5'2 which wasnt portioned well at all. I have a broad frame and I have short short legs. I worry that because of these factors what they say is my ideal isn't. I read someone who is 5'4 should be 113 pounds! (I'm 5'4 in a half technically…

Question about stages of loss
In Banks' seriously awesome post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/9433-expectations Around 3 weeks to 1 month is when you usually hit the brick wall of your body adjusting to your new lifestyle and plateau for a couple of weeks. I am at week 7 or 8 right now and I still have not plateaued. I went from a steady 4…

scales
why do weight watchers scales have a 330lb cutoff point? you'd think that, being an organization that caters to overweight people, they'd realize that that is not the maximum weight for someone. i have no idea how much i weigh because it gives me an error message, it's really embarrassing ._.

Eating Back Calories

Anyone else breastfeeding and trying to figure this out?
Hi, I'm breastfeeding my 7 month old daughter, and am having a hard time losing the final 9 lbs that I gained while pregnant. I overate while pregnant, so I know this is not quite baby weight, but is, as I call it "dorito weight." I'm having trouble determining what calories I should be eating. I'm not quite sedentary -…

Diet Coke vs Coke Zero

Monday Morning Spikes
So, contrary to popular wisdom, I weigh myself every day and log the data in a spreadsheet so that I can graph my weight loss. One thing that the resulting graph has highlighted is that my weight spikes every Monday. Usually 2 to 4 pounds in ONE day (I currently weigh in the mid 170s). While Sunday is normally my day away…

Plateau, stuck at 160 lbs! HELP!
Hello all, So here is my story. Back in November I weighed 180lbs. Since then I have lost 19lbs with diet and excercise. My routines consist of high impact circuit training, runnning, and lifting weights everyday. I burn around 300cals with the exercise. As far as my eating goes, I eat good protein; whey, chicken, fish,…

Question for the ladies....
Hi Ladies! Has anyone else noticed that when it's "that time of the month" your weight fluctuates 1-2lbs? I weighed on Thursday and was down 1.5lbs (my normal weigh in is Sunday) and when I weighed on Sunday, first day of my special friend, I was back up the 1.5!! Maddening! I really hope that's what it's from..this…

A pound a week is not very much.
This week I had buttered egg noodles, salmon patties, pork chops, spaghetti and meatballs (all home made), wine, vodka, a gin martini, oreo ice cream and I lost a pound. But 12.5 pounds is 50 sticks of butter and that is what I have lost YTD at a pound of week. For me, slow and steady wins tthe race and I'm eatin' like a…

Calorie Counting
I found this article on about.com and really agree with their take on calories and nutrition. Since most people on this site are using a calorie restricted diet to try to lose weight and get healthy I thought that this might be usefull, especially to the newer members that aren't as educated on this sort of concept yet.…

Need HELP!
I just now made my food diary public due to the fact that I need little help with meeting my calories. The past week hasn't been great...we've been repainting and laying out new flooring/carpeting for the entire house, so I haven't gotten to exercise since everything is EVERYWHERE right now. I've tried to eat healthy, but…

Feel Fit
So i saw these "feel fit" ads and i decided to check it out. My advice is dont even bother. MFP is way better and feel fit is really confusing. I know MFP was a bit confusing at the beggining, but after like a minute you knew how to track food and thats the important part. But on feel fit they give you points, and it was…

Time of weigh in
I was just wondering how the time you weigh in affects your weight. I usually weigh in between 9:30 and 10:30 after a workout. But now I am working and not working out (grrrr). Not really going over my calorie amount (except on the weekends.. they are hard). Just wondering. Thx.

Gimme a gold star
So, today I resisted temptation twice and stuck to my original food plan. First time was at lunch when we all went to Burger King. I got a garden salad (and brought my own Light Ranch dressing), small onion ring and diet Coke. The second time was when a few co-workers had milkshake cravings and I volunteered to make a…

My massive muscles are getting me in trouble.
Okay, I'm 5 pounds from my goal weight. And I'm actually only that because I'm retaining water for the next week (it's my time of the month). So for all intensive purposes, I'm at my goal weight. Now I've spent the last 6 months strength training twice a week so I'm fairly well built now. Not massive but I have a lot of…

Mobile hydrostatic body fat testing clinic?
http://www.bodyfattest.com/ A friend of mine just alerted me to the fact that this outfit was going to be in my neighborhood the end of the month. Is anybody familiar with them? What can my wife do to go to the bathroom regularly?
Hi. I am writing for advice on what my wife can do to go to the bathroom regularly. She is doing WW and is staying in her points. She doesn't eat all her 35 flex points, usually only dips into them on the weekend. We have tried for the last month increasing her calories, thinking maybe since she wasn't eating all the flex…

What do you do to overcome the dreaded "munchies"?
I keep getting the afternoon munchies, but I am really trying not to eat any snacks. What can I do while I am at work sitting at my desk taking phone calls? Let me know what you do to curb those cravings. I am dying here. I took an afternoon break and hit the elliptical and that helped for a short time, but not long enough…
